I backupped all from the old site. Deleted the cache files from bootstrap and storage. Uploaded everything and I get a 500 server error. Both in the domain\update as in the domain part. PHP Version 8.0.25 mysqlnd 8.0.25 BTW I downloaded the package from the phpvms site, and there where you read download DEV version. Thanks ahead. aaRBee

Huhm, Guess what...? We have been looking with 2 people in the documentation and in the forums and could not find it. I am looking for half a year. Now that you both said so surely that it must be in the documentation, and forums, I had decided to look into the documentation again. And at first peek I did find it. Yet I could not locate the env.php. I had looked everywhere where during the last half year. And I had decided to make the changes in mail.php (that is what I see now.) Now I can recall why I took the mail.php, because I had been searching lastly in the windows directory, where I had unpacked PHPVMS for a text of mail, and I did find it in there. Today I do find env.php in the root, and somehow I have never been looking there. I guess. I have been looking for the original download, in order to upload the original mail.php But I think I have deleted it, due to lack of space I downloaded the latest DEV edition and upload the mail.php from there. And hoped it is working. But it is not. If I now try to reset my password, I see a 500 SERVER error. That made me look into the webmail of the specific email account. Sending and receiving mail there does not work. I will ask my host to help fix that issue, then we can see of it works from the website. Thanks anyway, and I will talk back here. aaRBee

Hello, I did install PHPVMS 7 for a friend, which succeeded so far, yet the e-mail is not sending emails. I guess that I did something wrong. And I wonder if I got the right file to change. Which file do I need to change, so that PHPVMS can send mails to people etc. And how can I enter the smtp if there is a portnumber including SSL? I did look through the forums here, but I was not able to find my answer. Thanks anyway. aaRBee

I think that I did install the regular, as I can read several lines telling me not to use the DEV edition. Yet I did download the DEV edition now, and I did install PHP version 8.1 Thanks, RobB

I did build a new site based on PHPVMS 7.0 And I cannot login to the admin account after the first install. I constantly says that the password is wrong. Yet I cannot reset the Password either as I was not able to confige the mail settings. Seems like a catch 22. Some help would be appreciated. RobB VLMVA.com

Thank you all for thinking with me, for a solution. We had an internal discussion in the VA, about what to do next. One of the options is to upgrade to PHPVMS 7. And I did read some forum post about it. The question is, can I migrate everything that is by default in PHPVMS 5.5 to 7.x? And what about all the extra modules, that we had bought? RobB

That v7 is also an option. But I read not to use it, as it is in Beta. And I am afraid I have to redo the whole programming of the pages, due to modules Rob

The hostingcompany has changed it ot PHP7.2, which they only support until the end of the year. Yet that did not work either. So I also need to update PHPVMS to 5.5.2.72. And then it might work till the end of the year. Pfff.

Thank you for your answer. I was allready affraid, it was something like that. mysqlnd 7.4.10 PHPVMS 5.5 I will see if I can return to 7.2. Sometimes it is possible to return to an older PHP version, but not if it is older then half a year. The rest of the site runs fine. As I had that the code updated by CrazyCreatives. I am having errors with all acars tools that have been working before perfect. kacars free and Kacarsi are the two most used. And I have the issue about year and cannot find a solution. Kacars Free and the paid version of this give me a Connection error. And the paid version I receive an connection closed. For reference I have been using ccftracker. And I receive nearly the same error message. Login error - The connection to the VA site has timed out! Is that because something has changed either in Windows (previously using win 7) or on the host part? It is on shared hosting/ Ofcourse I run all as admin. Host is on PHP Version 7.4.10. I have asked the hosting company wether I can go back to 7.1 or 7.2. I know I could, a year ago to 5.6. But they do not support that anymore. My hosting company is from what I can see, pretty fast in implementing new PHP versions, and making older obsolute on the moment it is not supported anymore. I is nice from you to make 5.5.72. Yet I am missing a bit of overview of all PHPVMS versions who does maintain what. 5.5 simpilot 5.5.2 and now 5.5.2.72 7.0 The rought question would be. And now what? Which version? Thank you for your clarification, now I understand it. By the way, I got some php code for the web.config from the host, so I can use PHP 7.2. But first going to meet with the owner.

Check everything Upload and repair the skin files.

Let me tell the complete story. Once there was only citylink, on PHPVMS 2.2/2.1. Then I moved over to a new host. And they had simular PHP version, but due to their config, a lot did not work. Then somebody from this forum helped to fix the issues. I think it was the guy behind phpmods. Then I saw that the host was going to upgrade to PHP 7.1. And I upgraded the version and nothing worked. The guy of phpmods said something about the Simpilots version, and I installed that over 2.2 and had a lot of added modules renamed to php instead of tpl. phpmods and crazycreatives helped on the road. Several PHP updates further and all still functions. Especially MSeiwald did a tremendous job, which took him days to have it all fixed. Then a friend started vlmva. And I could not install phpvms 2.2. Neither 5.5.2. Then did I copy citylink over to vlm. deleted all the mods I had bought and was busy for a lot of days to get the site going. Eventually installing 5.5.2 over citylinks version. Changing the config-file and the site was running. I did iron out most of the issues, with some advice from phpmods and crazycreatives. A few issues are still left. But I never got acars working on this site. Config::Set('DEBUG_MODE', true); Config::Set('DEBUG_LEVEL', 1); // 1 logs query errors, 2 logs all queries Config::Set('ERROR_LEVEL', E_ALL ^ E_NOTICE); There is no file in the root calling error-something. I do not see the option to downgrade. But experience wise, you are not long on a downgraded version. They patch every month. They have an own developed control panel, with very few options. By the way, Citylink has the same version numbers, and there is no issue. Besides that is vlmva a 1-1 copy of citylink. - How do I enable error log? I was looking at the Client version number. But indeed, I had bought Kacarsi. I will check this evening the Kacars Free settings. Don't I need to change something in a config file? Something tells me that, but I cannot find it. PHP Version 7.3.9 Thanks again for helping out. RobB

Sorry for not mentioning the versions. I am trying Kacars free client 1.0.1.1. The module says 1.0.1.1. Location: /core/modules/kACARS_Free/ I can remember that I even took the working version from my site and copied it over to VLM. PHPVMS version is: Version simpilot 5.5.2. I just tried kacars free on my Win 8.1 laptop. And I get:"Connection error" according to the lower right corner. But if I try kacars 3.0 (specific made for va-wishes), then can I connect it to citylink-va.com, but if I change the settings to vlmva, then do I get this error in Dutch first (I hope I translate it correct): The underlaying connection is closed. By sending, there was an abrubt error. Then at the second ppop-up I get:L Notify System Administrator of the Switch error. Data not received Switch = verify. According to me, I did copy the free and as a test the full kacars modules to the vlmva Thanks RobB

I did build www.citylink-va.com for my own va, and use a paid version of kacars on it. The free version works as well. VLMVA.com did ask my help to build a website and implement some kind of acars. The website functions, but kacars free, ccftracker are not working at all. In CCFTracker I get the error: Login error - The Connection to the VA Site has timed out!!. I got from Free kAcars about the same issue. I know that I did install the website part of the site, and I wonder what the issue is. It is not the login, as that works on the site itself. Nabeel, sorry for not getting back earlier. I was simply to busy with the family. The only jquery on the layout is about a slider. Which I tried to disable and it still does not work. Using 5.5. So I had renamed the .tpl in .php Wondering what I am still doing wrong. RobB
