Administrators Nabeel Posted December 11, 2009 Administrators Report Posted December 11, 2009 Hey there, What version of phpVMS? Also what PHP version and MySQL version? Thanks! Quote

Administrators Nabeel Posted December 11, 2009 Administrators Report Posted December 11, 2009 Try reuploading all the files. Which page is this on? Does the "check database connections" work on the installer page? Quote
Tylor Eddy Posted December 11, 2009 Author Report Posted December 11, 2009 ok nope i was missing a heap of files i went to the beta, i got all the pages and permissions set followed the instructions and now i have this error Fatal error: Class 'DB' not found in /home/a7379017/public_html/core/common/SiteData.class.php on line 25 is this becasue of the database as localhost isnt the name of the database thanks Quote
Tylor Eddy Posted December 11, 2009 Author Report Posted December 11, 2009 do i have to manually make local.config.php ? because it asks me to make a blank copy with right permissions, not sure if that is normal or not. Quote
Administrators Nabeel Posted December 11, 2009 Administrators Report Posted December 11, 2009 Wait, are you mixing files between the beta and release? Do just the release version, make sure everything is uploaded and proper. If you search the forum, it's come up before, it was a corrupted file. Install might not work properly on beta Quote
Administrators Nabeel Posted December 11, 2009 Administrators Report Posted December 11, 2009 If it can't create it (doesn't have the right permissions), then you have to... in the /core folder create a file called local.config.php and make sure it's writable... it has to be completely empty (size 0) You can make the permissions of the core folder 777 and try again, maybe it will be able to make it automatically then Quote
Tylor Eddy Posted December 11, 2009 Author Report Posted December 11, 2009 ok , i havent mixed the two types i just switched, is the release version meant to have lib/rss/ lib/signatures lib/avatars these directories are missing, i think as they were there when i followed the tutorial, maybe they werent in there dont know. lol thanks Quote
Tylor Eddy Posted December 11, 2009 Author Report Posted December 11, 2009 ok it was a permissions problem im on the database page now Quote

Administrators Nabeel Posted December 11, 2009 Administrators Report Posted December 11, 2009 You have to create a database, according to your host's instructions http://docs.phpvms.net/installation#phpvms_installation Quote
