Administrators ProAvia Posted November 4, 2022 Administrators Report Posted November 4, 2022 phpVMS version? PHP version? MySQL or MariaDB version? Is error logging enabled? Any errors in the error_log file or the browser console? Quote
MarlonM Posted November 5, 2022 Report Posted November 5, 2022 phpVMS version: this is what it says in the Readme.txt Current 5.5.2 release stable on php 5.5.12 environment. PHP version: 7.0.33 MySQL/MariaDB version not sure. 10.5 I guess Quote
Administrators ProAvia Posted November 5, 2022 Administrators Report Posted November 5, 2022 phpVMS 5.5.2 will work on PHP 5.5 and 5.6. As well, it will work with MySQL 5.6 and/or MariaDB 10.1 Since you are using PHP 7.0.33 and MariaDB 10.5, phpVMS is not going to function correctly. Do to changes in newer versions of PHP and MySQL/MariaDB, phpVMS code doesn't work correctly. While your host may allow use of PHP 5.6, you are tied into the MariaDB version they use. You could use phpVMS 5.5.2.72, which works with PHP 7.0 to 7.2, but it also has issues with MySQL versions above 5.6 and/or MariaDB above 10.1 . However, there are many changes between phpVMS 5.5.2 and 5.5.2.72 which will affect any addon modules you may be using. Why are you not using phpVMS v7? Quote

We use smartCars and it still not compatible with V7. I upgraded phpVMS 5.5.2.72 and php to 7.2. it still not working. Is there a way to downgrade Mariadb version? Quote
Administrators ProAvia Posted February 17, 2023 Administrators Report Posted February 17, 2023 You can ask your host if they offer MariaDB 10.2 or lower on a different server. That server will also need to support the other requirements as well. Or change to a host that supports the requirements of phpVMS 5.5.2.72 fully. smartCARS 2 won't work in phpVMS v7 - and no updated on smartCARS 3 in a long time. The only present ACARS that works in phpVMS v7 is vmsACARS. It is being actively developed, as is phpVMS v7. Quote
MarlonM Posted February 17, 2023 Report Posted February 17, 2023 I aksed them and they are currently working on SmarCARS 3, but no release yet, so I guess it will take some time still. Thanks for your help. I will post any updates Quote
