Petey
On the ACARS map it is showing two flights of one pilot like so, any suggestions to fix it?
Administrators Nabeel Posted July 2, 2010 Administrators Report Share Posted July 2, 2010 Under Site & Settings -> Maintenance -> Reset ACARS Maps
Petey
After resetting the tables it still comes back with the double flight per pilot. We're using kACARS
Administrators Nabeel Posted July 2, 2010 Administrators Report Share Posted July 2, 2010 I'll move this topic to the kACARS forum then. Do you have more information about what version, etc?
Petey
Oh yeah its 1.0.0.4 the free version ;D
Moderators mark1million Posted July 3, 2010 Moderators Report Share Posted July 3, 2010 This happens with xacars as well, if i remember right it used to do the same with fsacars. I use xacars,kACARS paid for and they are all the same making me think its something to do with the vms code.

It's strange since it does the lookup based on the pilot ID
Petey
What details are you looking for? I'd be happy to provide it.
Guest lorathon
What version of kACARS_Free? What version of phpVMS? You probably just have a mis-matched set of versions.
Petey
PHPVMS Version 2.1.934 kACARS Version 1.0.0.
Guest lorathon
You should upgrade kACARS_Free to the newest version of 1.0.0.7 That will probably fix the problem right there.
Petey
Updated to Version 1.0.0.7 for the application and the module. Still nothing , coming up with the same problem.
Guest lorathon
Check your phpvms_acarsdata table in phpAdmin and see how many entries there are for the pilotid number. Clear the table first and then check after running kACARS_Free for a while.
Petey
It seems in the database it shows up once, however when translating onto the list of pilots it shows up twice.
Guest lorathon
Then it sounds like a template issue. What does it do with the standard template?
Petey
Still the same on the default template. It's only a problem on KACARS, nothing else; X Acars shows up once.
Guest lorathon
I am not sure what the problem is then. If there is only one entry in the DB for the flight it should be only pulling that one entry. It sounds like it is pulling it twice for some reason. Are you sure that the acarsdata table only has the flight as a single entry?
Petey
There's only one row per flight in the table. But it shows up twice on the list.
Guest lorathon
Try re-uploading the following files core/common/acarsdata.class.php core/modules/acars/acars.php core/templates/acarsmap.tpl Those are the files that are controlling what is displayed on the map. If your flight has only one entry in the DB then it has to be a problem with one of these files.
Petey
After uploading those files it still doesn't work. No problem though; we'll be using X ACARS, since it seems only kACARS is having this problem.
Guest lorathon
Sorry to hear that. Not sure what the problem is. You seem to be the only one having this issue so there has to be something wrong with your setup somewhere. I will continue to try and figure it out. Take Care, Jeff
Administrators Nabeel Posted July 8, 2010 Administrators Report Share Posted July 8, 2010 If you can send me your server details I can take a look if there's a problem with the template
Thomas
Maybe clear the Cache and Optimize Tables. A few pilots in my Va use kAcars free and they dont get this problem, same with Xacars, no problems, I flew 4 flights today with FSAcars and the map updated each time and showed the correct amount of pilots flying at once. One suggestion though, go into your skin folder, if the acarsmap.tpl is in there, delete it, ive noticed sometimes that can cause the problem. Oh and delete and other files in there to do with the acars files etc. Hope this helps you.
Moderators mark1million Posted July 13, 2010 Moderators Report Share Posted July 13, 2010 Im still having that trouble even with the default acarsmap.tpl used, this is a strange one.
Guest lorathon
Mark, You are having pilots show up twice on the map? Is it every pilot? I just checked you map and it looked fine.
Moderators mark1million Posted July 14, 2010 Moderators Report Share Posted July 14, 2010 Hi Jeff, No its not on the map just the listings below the map and it doesn't happen all the time to every pilot, for example if you have a look now at the map there are the same pilots listed twice with the exact information. Guest lorathon
Can you check your DB and see if there are two rows for those pilots in the acars table?
Moderators mark1million Posted July 14, 2010 Moderators Report Share Posted July 14, 2010 Thanks Jeff, I have just emptied the acars table and there is only one entry for each pilot but yet again its duplicated on the listing.
