Error when installing

Hello,

I just downloaded the software and uploaded it to my webserver. I opened the install.php but it said I have to set permission on some folders. I did that.

Now, when I want to enter the install.php I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function get_results() on a non-object in /is/htdocs/wp1119141_257I7HFKX7/www/acars/core/classes/DB.class.php on line 280

Any help is appreciated :)

Pierre ;)

Hey,

Welcome to the site.

First thing, what version of PHP and MySQL?

That indicates a problem possibly with the MySQL.

Also, re-upload the files to make sure none are "broken", as FTP tends to do that

Hi,

MySQL is 5.0.32

PHP Version 5.2.6

I re-uploaded the file in charge to no avail  :(

Yea, the file was completely missing, so I did a new one and forgot to delete the usual HTML stuff that comes when you create one.

Furthermore, once I want to login to the Admin Panel, I get this error:

arning: fopen(/is/htdocs/wp1119141_257I7HFKX7/www/acars//lib/js/jquery-front.js) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /is/htdocs/wp1119141_257I7HFKX7/www/acars/core/classes/CodonCondenser.class.php on line 95

I am sorry for all my messages, but I am pretty new to use scripts connected with a database  :D

Hey, no problem! The local.config.php is usually created, unless it doesn't have permissions to do so.

For that other error, the files: lib/js/jquery-front.js and /lib/js/jquery-admin.js both need write permissions.

Ok great, that works now.

Another question ( I hope the last one hehe ):

When I want to enter the Admin section, its says: Unauthorized access!

Do I need to set my self as Admin in the database?

It should have during the install.

I suggest wiping the database and emptying the local.config, and just install from scratch, seems like it went wrong when it saw the other stuff in there. Then you should be good to go :)

Hm, done so, still getting the same error. I can login as Pilot but not as admin  :-

  • Administrators

Odd.

In the database, group members table, add a record with your pilot id(should be one), and the admin group (should also be one).

I will check that out

Did you get the second page to enter all or your data in? Are you running on Windows (your server)?

I'm not sure about Windows, thats what phpMyAdmin says: Server Version: 5.0.32-Debian_7etch8-log

Yes, I got to enter my data on the second page.

Hi! I have a little problem here while installing. I run the installer, and fill the database name fields. When I press "Check Database Connection" says "Database Connection is ok!" but when I press "Next Step" I get the 404 error, no page available...

Can you help me please?

Thanks in advance

Igor
