Free hosting for phpVMS

Do you know of any free web hosts that offer compatibility for all of the phpVMS files and functions? Could anyone do free hosting for me?

I can't say what kind of reliability you're going to want, as most free hosts are not that reliable, but I haven't had many problems with 000webhost. There are a couple of things that you have to configure that I suggest you do after installation. If you want those instructions, search "000webhost" or "000webhost.com" here and it should pull up my post.

I'm currently testing it on 50gigs.net

works great as far as i can tell

I plan on upgrading to paid since it's so cheap!

cheap dosent mean it will work 99.9% of the time or even 50% of the time, you really have to watch out for places that are like that. Just a fair warning.

site5 is cheap and great, also dreamhost. I was on site5 until I ended up moving everything to slicehost.

I was on 000webhost, but it was really slow, unreliable, and I had trouble accessing it via FTP.

Just wondering, what should I look for in a host, to ensure it is compatible with phpvms? Is there something that they will have, that others don't?

On the requirements page, it notes you need PHP5+ (5.2 recommended), MySQL 4.1+ with InnoDB, and points out PHP safe mode should be off. FTP is also needed(duh) and the page also suggests GD Image Library and allow_url_fopen set to ON.  At least 500MB should be enough space, and as for bandwidth, don't let 43728907893GB trick you. When there's a lot of bandwidth/space, it usually lacks features.

Well www.x10hosting.com would be the best free host out there. 100% compatible with phpvms, and I have no complaints.

I've had the opposite experience with x10 on other installs.

I'd be weary of any free hosts

How is this website, do you think this package would run pspVMS ok? Or is it missing things. To me it looks like all the things you need, don't know if it is missing somthing or not.

Anyway, free-space.net has worked for me. Plus, the subdomain name 'f-snet' sounds like something to do with Flight Simulator, which is a plus for me.

The only two issues that I have with site5 is its more expensive and does that come with a domain name included? And I am a bit sick of signing up for free hosting, I have signed up with about 10 atleast in the last few days trying them.

I am using site 5, and it is great.  I paid a little more and for $115/yr am able to host unlimited sites, and have  LOTS of disk space and bandwidth. use nabeel's link so he can afford to keep phphvms going!

well all i can say is try hostmonster its good price, and you get a ton of free stuff as well as a free domain.
