Moderators joeri Posted August 27, 2011 Moderators Report Posted August 27, 2011 i use THE Gimp and just google for fs painting manual there are lots off them and everybody uses different ways to paint and convert Quote
MBrown Posted August 28, 2011 Report Posted August 28, 2011 It may sound tacky, but it really does work a treat. DXT3 & Paint for me. Works every time (And also GIMP if I need to resize something. Quote
Moderators joeri Posted August 28, 2011 Moderators Report Posted August 28, 2011 thats a lot of converting from paint with DXT3 i did it also in the past but then i found covimx it will let me convert my psd files directly to bmp or dds its easy and fast Quote
CPC900 Posted August 28, 2011 Report Posted August 28, 2011 As for painting aircraft......there are many examples. Here are a few: http://www.calclassic.com/repaint.htm http://www.john-goodwin.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ http://www.avsim.com/hangar/flight/tutorials/ http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/forums/forum33-tutorials/ http://www.gjsmith.net/Tutorial/tutorials.htm http://forum.avsim.net/forum/200-the-paint-shop-the-aircraft-painters-forum/ Quote

Strider Posted September 29, 2011 Report Posted September 29, 2011 http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=114458 I created a tutorial for people who dont know much about repainting. It does require adobe reader, or power point or similar program that allows the opening of a powerpoint presentation. Also I use photoshop, as it is much easier to work with paintkits, as they usually come in layered psd files.MSPaint is just a horrible program to use for painting. Quote
