G-NEWC
Hi Guys, Just incase any of you haven't heard, AVSIM was recently taken down by hackers, which in effect destroyed their complete forum, and downloads databases. These guys have been running for 13 years now. Here is the BBC link. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8049780.stm AVSIM have setup a temporary forum in the meantime, until they get their site redeveloped. Hope you guys don't mind me posting this here; but i feel it is a great loss to the FS community. http://linux.myalbemarle.org/forums/index.php -James

Guest CableGuy
thats why its a good idea to use version 9 of php, its much more up to date and secure. (PHP is not all that secure at all. I like .NET Language).
Administrators Nabeel Posted May 20, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted May 20, 2009 Version 9? PHP is only upto 5. What evidence do you have that PHP is not secure? PHP and .NET are as secure as you make them. You can punch holes in any language, depending on how bad of a coder you are. PHP is not any more or less secure than .NET. Their site was not hacked because of their coding; someone physically was at the command line and striped the partitions from the drives.
