mischka Posted April 22, 2013 Report Share Posted April 22, 2013 Hello all, Afaik the fuel price in phpvms is 3.10 USD/lb by default, right? At least that's what is still set in mine... Now I found this site though, and I'm confused: http://www.iata.org/publications/economics/fuel-monitor/Pages/price-analysis.aspx It says here that in Europe and US the fuel price is roughly 290 cents per gallon? Now, A gallon of jet-a is apperently 6.6 lb depending on the temperature, so that would mean the fuelprice is not 3.10 usd per lb but 2.9 usd per gallon, which is 6.6lb which would come down to approx 43 cents per lb? anyone can shed a light on this, would be much appreciated by more than just myself, I'm sure Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
OA01 Posted June 1, 2013 Report Share Posted June 1, 2013 I have also been looking at this. As of 24 May, the European JET-A price is 278 US Cents per gallon. http://www.iata.org/...e-analysis.aspx So, if my maths hold up, that makes it 41 US Cents per lb. Convert that into Euro's, at todays rate http://www.x-rates.c...EUR&amount=0.41 makes the price of JET-A 0.31 Euro's per lb? 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ARV187 Posted June 1, 2013 Report Share Posted June 1, 2013 Yes, I did that calculations too, in teory that price is correct. 1 Mar 2013 - 322.4 cts$ /gal http://www.iata.org/publications/economics/fuel-monitor/Pages/price-analysis.aspx 322,4 cts $---> 2.50407767 € /gal 1 U.S Gal = 6,7 lbs http://www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/tech_ops/read.main/47675/ 2,50€ / 6,7 lbs = 0,37 € la libra (lbs).
