That was the ticket. Thanks I appreciate it. Yeah Nabeel. Is a little tricky I never even would have thought of clicking that first then the other.
-
Oh ok. I'll give that a try and see what happens. Sorry so slow on the reply. Was wonking on some FSHost integrations.

That would be the one. Thanks Tom. I really appreciate it. However, when I click on that one or any of the others for that matter, nothing happens. All of them icons on top are grayed out. I can mouse over them and get the little finger for my cursor where I am pointing to, but like I said, upon clicking, nothing happens. I took the long way around and went and edited the html via CPanel

Hi Pardon me if this has been brought up before. I searched and could not find an answer. When I add custom pages via phpVMS Admin area, I go back to edit the page's code and it does not show me the code. it shows me the actual page. Is there something I am missing here? It shows all the stuff above the page content like I am posting in a forum. Scrrenie necessary? I'm sure you get my drift on this one.

Ok so I am the first to admit, I am ok at integrating a bunch of things most of the time, but skinning is NOT up my alley at all. I watched the skinning tutorials and the guy said he found a simple template to use. Am I correct in saying this guy found a forum template? Or are they plain jane html website templates that he is modifying? I am having real issues figuring this out. I am looking for some place to find free templates from so I can get a layout that I like that I can alter to my liking. Any suggestions? Thanks Ray

Ok on 2nd thought, It shows up in admin section now. After recalculating it ONLY shows for the flight that I changed in the database. For the little trick I tried, was I supposed to change to 1 and -100 in the structure, or a pirep itself? All I did was click on the pireps table, picked me and edited values for 1 flight. I'm thinking that was wrong as now like I said, after recalculating distances, it still only shows up for that 1 flight I edited. All the rest of them when viewing all pireps in the admin section still show up as 0.

Ok I'll give this a quick try and report back. It can't hurt any ;D **EDIT** Tried and True. Works like a charm now! However, admin panel when viewing pireps under the little pilot picture still shows a 0 for landing stat. Front page works great.

Nope no mods at all. And as far as version, well, I am currently using Version 1.3.785 I forgot I posted in this thread and updated yesterday. So it was the build RIGHT before the version I have installed right now. The only modifications I have made to the website is change the name of the crystal template and do a few template tweaks. Other then that, it is basically a Nabeel package.

It is starting to take shape and looks much better now. However, If you don't mind a suggestion. Logout and then click on the Pilot Center link. There is a link or two in there that you might wish to only show if logged in.

Oh ok I see. well, I am going to leave well enough alone and use it as is. It is a great add on that I am having no issues at all with.

Yeah was gonna grab that and open it with winrar but was not sure if it was the proper one or not. I can handle that one now that I know ;D

Well, I was kind of thinking that since It shows up in the sent messages box then there is no need to have another taking up database room even as minute as it may be. It's like phpBB sending a private notice to new users and they have never logged in. I allways added the mod to make it only send a pm AFTER they logged in for the first time to save on databse. There's that mode of thinking of mine again ;D It is hard to shake off.

Not finding the beta only an update dated yesterday. Did I overlook? I found one but it is not a zip file. it just says beta.version

Thanks simpilot. I never thought of it like you pointed out. I guess a bcc is not a bad idea after all. Thanks for the tip too.

Nabeel, you are the man for sure! Many, MANY thanks are in order for all of the hard work you put into this for us to all use, and it's free! Simply unbelieveable how great the flight Sim communtiy is. You are one of the great ones. 8)

Gentle bump here. ;D

I can't get this to work. I have the same error as before and reported by others and have filed 4 pireps since then. To try and correct issue, I have uploaded fresh files as well as checked the sql tables. The alterations were made to the database as they should, but it says 0 in both entries when checking the database. And as far as the admin panel goes, the edit worked, but since I am getting nothing in my databse, it shows 0.

Ok sounds great. I'll have a go at it here after while. Just came in for a short to check threads while my truck cools down. hate to remove carb and get gas on a nice and hot exhaust. ;D I'll let you know how this works out for me. Thanks again.

[Fixed] The flight code and number you entered is not a valid route!

Sorry Nabeel. I tried deleting the post and it would not let me for some reason. The issue I found was that when filing a pirep manually, if you use any letters in the pirep, it would not take that pirep. but if I simply used the numbers, it went through fine. The issue is, I am trying to make all my flight numbers realistic as possible and a bunch of them have letters in them as well. I ran out of time last night, so I am going to do some more testing here after I get done messing with the carb on my truck. -
Yeah I do believe he is working on this. My whole Idea behind this was once a pilot is inactive for what ever reason in the airline for say 3 months, it simply moves him to inactive group. Things happen in life and people can't fly for periods of time. Once the pilot gets his life squared away and has some free time, all he/she has to do is log back in the the website and do a flight. Once he/she files a pirep, it moves them back to active. Keeps the Active pilots roster clean looking. It is better to go to a VA and see a list full of active pilots verses more inactive than active. Look at Livewire Airlines for example. 4,000 + members , 3,000 + pilots, and 250 active pilots. Imagine digging through that list looking for an active pilot? ;D

Ok so I got it to take a pirep. I did that thing on the FAQ to allow pilots to file on NON scheduled flights. That works out great, but when I try to file a real schedule flight, I get the info above. Now for the funny part. When I created that bogus flight for pilots to use, it actually shows up on the schedules page and it is only a one way flight. I never entered a return flight. Now all the other flights I entered into the system will NOT show up on view schedules page unless I have a to and from flight scheduled. So how does a 1 way flight show up and the system ONLY accepts that flight? Now I'm really lost. -
Since this thread is 14 pages long, I did not have time to read it all. I have been asked a few times if there is any way at all to show more info about the aircraft for the flight on schedule. Like: Max fuel and most important, aircraft Registration number. Right now when I go to load up a flight in ACARS, I have to go to the admin panel to get aircraft info for the flight so ACARS will work accordingly. Unless I am missing something. Maybe what I am getting at is, when one adds downloads, it has its own page. It would be nice if when adding fleet, it generated it's own page as well. Or at bare minimum, put all pertinent aircraft data in the pilot briefing. Would make life much easier. My apologies if I have missed a setting somewhere to make this info public on my site.

Yeah I figured it needed the backend after all was said and done. Been tweaking and messing around and I have a really nice looking dowloads list now for the crystal template. The default one is ok, but the one I did to make it look like that admin list is sweet. Should take a peak at it and consider it. Looks real nice and clean. Code could use some scrubbing to polish the edges but it is nice.
