I assume you did properly made you're database? I'm a noob too but these problems tell me that there's something wrong in the configuration of your database. The best way to avoid error's is to copy and paste the data from your hosting. servername, database name, user name and password. Further have I learned that the best way to install phpvms Is to use php 5.4 in your php settings. I did use 5.5 either but had many problems with it. And as suggested before use https://github.com/DavidJClark/phpvms_5.5.x

Hello all, I'll have on each page within the admin center, in the upper left corner, an error called sidebar_dashboard.php. Due to this error I can't add anything, because the sidebar is gone. I appears to happen to all the pages not only the dashboard. Does anybody know an fix for this? Thanks KLM

My bad, forgive me if I misread the post you've made. The way it was placed I got the feeling that it was someone who is chasing for free stuff without giving the developer time to respond. The template will come I know FlyAlaska he always keeps his promise. Family and job is time consuming I have the same problem lol. No hard feelings on this. Regards

I'm waiting a lot longer but doesn't complain about the duration. Keep in mind that this is only goodwill from the developer of this skin and he is giving it away for free. So have a little patience please, it's not that easy to make an fully working skin. For FlyAlaska, Thanks for the update I'll see it coming when it's ready.

I have lattely downloaded phpvms 5.5 from github, and this version is using php extensions. So I guess that I'm sitting on the right track. Thank you for the update and response on this.

Hello all members, I wonder if this skin isn't available anymore. I downloaded the skin trough his forum but if I choose to unzip the package's I receive an error with the text bad file format or damaged zip file. Really sad I did like the skin. Regards Leon

Hm strange but we don't give up. I'm not really an expert but I will do what I can to help. What happens if you upload a fresh crystal folder to your VA, maybe something within the main folder is messed up. Further I recommend these guys http://forums.phpfreaks.com/ They are really good with a lot of stuff and helped me more then once. I really want to help you out but have to be careful that I don't mess up your VA. The guys mentioned above did also recommend me to upgrade to 5.6. so maybe there's your best shot with this. I will follow this treat and try to find solutions others ways I see ya with the freaks lol.

Hi Colin, I apologize that I didn't mentioned the solution in the previous post somehow I just forgot it. What I did to solve the problem was a change in my php configuration. With php 5.5 I got many error's and could solved it with a work around in the TemplateSet.class.php and changed this area "public function show($tpl_name, $checkskin=true, $force_base=false) { return $this->ShowTemplate($tpl_name, $checkskin, $force_base); } to true, but I have to set it back each time I want to make a change in the VA, so that was not an option. The second and final solution I did was simply upgrading my php configuration from 5.5 to 5.6 (C-panel). This solved my problem for good.

My best guess is that you have somewhere an .tpl file that's messing up your installation. I recommend to download the latest stable version on GitHub as giving above. If you already have the latest version try to compare the green lines given in the files on GitHub with your own files. Dear members, I have setup an virtual airline and everything was working great until the upgrade to simpilot 5.5.2, on an PhP 5.5 environment. This was my own choice so I could stay up to date with everything. What I did: Upgrade from PhP 5.2 to PhP 5.5 (security issues with older version) Installed the new PhPvms available on GitHub (simpilot 5.5.2) Installed the Plugin Manager PhP version. Add an aircraft to the feet an made an HUB. I also tried A brand new skin without any changes by me (As you can see now) It's one or the other the error on the pages or the nav Bar in the admin center is gone. I did see many smart people around here and hope someone know what stupid mistake I made, because I know for sure I over looked something.
