CPC900
For some reason, when I look at the flight schedules, it doesn't show all of the ones it should. For instance, if I select a departure airport on mine, only one flight comes up. But in the Admin menu and in the database there are several for that airport. They are enabled and everything looks fine for the database, but for some reason, they are not listing properly?!? Also, I just noticed when I search by "arrival airport", it brings up flights that don't match the airport requested. Bruce
CPC900
When I said "search by "arrival airport", it brings up flights that don't match the airport requested.", that was AFTER I did a search by distance then right after did a search by arrival airport. It is like the cache didn't clear from the previous search, if that helps. Bruce
Administrators Nabeel Posted December 21, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted December 21, 2009 Ah yes, that's a bit of a bug - they're the same form, and both fields are filled in, so it ends up searching by whichever one comes last (the distance)
CPC900
Any idea why it doesn't list all the flights by the arrival airport on an initial search?! If it finds one, I can't see why it wouldn't find the other 3 or 4 or whatever there is. BTW, I assume you ant this kind of stuff posted in the report bugs here section, or no!?? Administrators Nabeel Posted December 21, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted December 21, 2009 Here is fine, until it's a confirmed bug. Can you link me to your search with a few examples? They seem to load ok on the dev site.
CPC900
http://www.canadianclassicairlines.com/phpvms/index.php/schedules/view Try searching for CYYC for example. Only one shows up, but the database has eight flights out of CYYC. All are enabled in the database.
Administrators Nabeel Posted December 21, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted December 21, 2009 Are they all set to fly on Monday?
CPC900
No they are not. They are on different days with different aircraft. Bruce
Administrators Nabeel Posted December 21, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted December 21, 2009 Well, only the flights set to fly today will show then, since that's the default behavior on the template
CPC900
Well, that makes sense then. Duh.. Sorry, I wasn't grasping a good concept there. Thanks. Bruce
CPC900
Some pilots like to plan ahead to when they will fly next. I will add something to show the full schedule for planning trips ahead. They just won't be able to bid until the actual day of flight. This isn't already coded somewhere is it? Administrators Nabeel Posted December 22, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted December 22, 2009 That's a good point, I'll see if I can easily add an option
CPC900
One other thing.....can you add the flight time in the flight info listing of the schedule. With different time zones etc., it would be nice to show the proposed time of flight. Bruce
Administrators Nabeel Posted December 22, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted December 22, 2009 You can add that right into your template, just add the column with $schedule->flighttime or whatever the variable is ($schedule or $route, i forget)
AGuyFawkesMask
I know this is an old post, but did anyone ever come out with a fix for this bug? I'm running version 2.1.934 and I'm noticing still that the form is only utilizing the last field (the distance search field) if I input information into the last field and then switch back to another field (i.e. equipment, a departure/arrival airport, etc.). Really curious to see how someone finds a work-around for this issue.
