gosox116
My financials are in crazy debt! My fuel prices are set to only 99 cents (Southwest Airlines pricing), but I'm still over 3 million in debt. I've recalculated finances, but nothing works. Any advise? Thanks! Administrators Nabeel Posted January 4, 2010 Administrators Report Share Posted January 4, 2010 What are your ticket prices? If you look at your PIREPs, what does it give there for the load counts and ticket prices?
gosox116
Ok, so the majority of my ticket prices were set to 0, so I exported the schedules, changed them all to 150, imported them, and reset my PIREP finances. In the details for each PIREP, we are now making money, but the finances table still shows that we are over (correction) 3 BILLION dollars! Any ideas? Thanks! Administrators Nabeel Posted January 4, 2010 Administrators Report Share Posted January 4, 2010 If you have phpmyadmin, open the database you're using for phpVMS, and find the phpvms_financedata table, click on it, and there will be an option to empty the table. TennShadow
If you have phpmyadmin, open the database you're using for phpVMS, and find the phpvms_financedata table, click on it, and there will be an option to empty the table. Please be very careful in there. Make sure you click "Empty Table" and not delete. I'm talking from experience here. :-)
gosox116
I got into phpmyadmin, selected the finances table, then clicked 'Empty.' It showed me this: Do you really want to :TRUNCATE TABLE `phpvms_financedata` Do I go through with that or is that not the correct process. I just don't want to screw anything up. Thanks! gosox116
It worked great! Now I have over one million dollars in profit. One issue, though, is that it is ADDING money for pilot pay, instead of SUBTRACTING it. Real airlines LOSE money by paying their pilots. Thanks! Administrators Nabeel Posted January 6, 2010 Administrators Report Share Posted January 6, 2010 What do you have entered for your pilot pay? Did you enter a negative value?
Moderators joeri Posted January 6, 2010 Moderators Report Share Posted January 6, 2010 do you mean its not showing as this Pilot Pay 80 This is what the pilot will be paid, per hour, for this flight that is correct or do you mean in the brakedown there its like this $ 12,281.00 gr joeri
gosox116
What do you have entered for your pilot pay? Did you enter a negative value? Nope it's positive. The weird thing is that when I look at the January summary, it is subtracting money for pilot pay (which it should do), but then it adds it back in the totals. In the end, we do not lose money from paying pilots, which I would like to do. do you mean its not showing as thisPilot Pay 80 This is what the pilot will be paid, per hour, for this flight that is correct or do you mean in the brakedown there its like this $ 12,281.00 gr joeri I mean it in the breakdown. By the way, here it is for January: Gross Revenue Flights: Total number of flights: 25 $ 471,393.00 Pilot Payments: ($ -6,961.50) <<<THIS IS GOOD (almost 7k)*** Fuel Costs: ($ -202,599.00) Flight Expenses: ($ -50,250.00) Total: $ 211,582.50 <<<<<<<<<COMPARE THIS TO THE TOTAL REVENUE*** EXPENSES (MONTHLY) None $ 0.00 Expenses Total: $ 0.00 TOTALS Total Revenue: $ 218,544.00 <<<IT ADDED BACK THE 7k (compared to the Total) (not good)**** Net Worth: $ 218,544.00 Thanks! Administrators Nabeel Posted January 6, 2010 Administrators Report Share Posted January 6, 2010 Joeri, it seems like it's adding the pilot pay back into yours as well. Actually it seems like it's not subtracting it. I'm checking it out right now, thanks

wrenchca
In regards to excessive fuel usage, make sure you let your pilots know that they are not to park next to the default FS fuel depot when they arrive at their arrival airport. This will knock FSAcars for a loop and you will have fuel usage in the millions of pounds for just that one flight. Setting the parking brake not only stops the recording for FSAcars, but it also automatically refuels your aircraft if you are parked in the area of the fuel depot. Since the refuelling is an inside FS function, it gets done before FSAcars can capture your final fuel. If your final fuel is greater than that which you started.... ....millions of pounds. Just a heads up... Chuck CYXU
