"Could not open socket" error

Hi

I've recently had to change from the Zumeweb theme because when people try to register they get an error saying. "Could not open socket"

Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Free hosts sometimes block or restrict certain ports and services to force you into upgrading to their paid hosting

No it's just that skin it works fine with crystal skin.

Well this is a new error. I can tell you right now, that I didn't edit any server-side code(as in php), when creating the template. Socket usually refers to a network port, my only guess(with limited networking knowledge) is that there is some sort of issue with port services(As stated by Jordan).

Then you will have at least a starting point, a "Unable To Connect" socket error could be a number of different things. Most likely it is a setting on the server, it may even be a transient error that is due to something on the server running at the same time, or something crashing and restarting or......

btw you have really huge ads on your site

I know right, the host has been great and now all of a sudden there is the socket error and horrible ads.
