Rnaetsar Posted February 1, 2014 Report Posted February 1, 2014 Hi guys, Apologies if this has been covered before, just need a bit of help if that's okay. A pilot of mine today departed an airport with 160,000lbs of fuel, landed with 80,000lbs of fuel. The airline only gets charged for fuel used. So, he basically overfuelled his aircraft by 100% but only got charged for what he used. Is it possible to change the coding so he gets charged for the fuel he takes off with, not what he uses? That way, it will give the pilots more of an incentive to calculate their fuel properly. Many thanks Quote
Ashj24uk Posted February 1, 2014 Report Posted February 1, 2014 you know what i totally agree with you its a pain Quote
Strider Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 No I dont think that is possible, as it only takes in the fuel used, you would have to add extra fields and edit the algorithm to get that. It would be a lot of work, and possibly more work to the designer of your acars system. Quote
Rnaetsar Posted February 4, 2014 Author Report Posted February 4, 2014 Not a problem, thanks for the replies Quote
