Is there any translation project for phpvms?

I am a chinese. Recent days, i have known phpvms. But the english user interface is unfriendly to my chinese users. So, how i can do to translate the phpvms?

But... How to translate. Edit templates? And how to change the character format. I try to translate the index page. But all the chinese character became some character like '?' '*'...

You do not have to update the index.php file which is on the main directory of your phpVMS system. You will have to edit accordingly the template files which are inside your lib/skins/your_skin_folder_name folder. Also, there might be other template files which will need translation inside the core/templates folder.
