Administrators simpilot Posted April 9, 2010 Administrators Report Posted April 9, 2010 Please post any input for the new EVENTBooking module here. Thread continued from Paid Services 1 Quote
selwynorren Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 Hey Simpilot, Here are my thoughts: Add an event announcement (pretty much like the news articles) Ability to add a date or date range for the event Ability to add a banner Ability for pilots to sign up for the event (I am not concerned regarding specific time slots) Be able to see who has signed up for the specific events Ability to hold multiple events Hmm ok that about does it for now 1 Quote
Moderators mark1million Posted April 9, 2010 Moderators Report Posted April 9, 2010 Would be nice but not imperative to have 5 minutes between bookings,(cant all book to depart at a certain time) Quote
Administrators simpilot Posted April 10, 2010 Author Administrators Report Posted April 10, 2010 Admin side coming together Quote
Alex Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 looks excellent, certainly something i would like integrated... keep up the great work Quote
Moderators mark1million Posted April 10, 2010 Moderators Report Posted April 10, 2010 Just another addition to the code if possible, can there be a permission set for this as well so the group can be defined who has access to "Events" Quote
Administrators simpilot Posted April 11, 2010 Author Administrators Report Posted April 11, 2010 Getting There Creating a seperate auth for events in the admin side will probably not get done right now. I have it tied to the news right now. I have tried to change the bitwise values that are used to determine the admin permissions with disastorious results. That will be last thing. Quote
selwynorren Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 Awesome!!! Simpilot you Rock Bud! Quote
Moderators mark1million Posted April 11, 2010 Moderators Report Posted April 11, 2010 That is looking good You are the man Quote
Administrators simpilot Posted April 11, 2010 Author Administrators Report Posted April 11, 2010 Hey guys, does a counter to tell you how many events a pilot has flown make sense....? Quote
Moderators mark1million Posted April 11, 2010 Moderators Report Posted April 11, 2010 Sure does, that would be excellent. Quote
Administrators simpilot Posted April 12, 2010 Author Administrators Report Posted April 12, 2010 Alright, I am working on the pilot tracking/rating part of this.... Is there any reason to apply points on a scale, ie 1 to 10, or something, or just simply one point per event flown. An extra point for signing up ahead of time? Being ready for your time slot? idk, just thinking. Quote
selwynorren Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 Hmm I like the Idea for me, a simple point scale makes sense. That way I can award a point per event, and then every 10 events issue an award or something like that. Quote
Strider Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 Is this going to be a pay ware addon for phpvms or free? Cheers Dan C Quote
selwynorren Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 Input + Support from the community equals the price in my sig Started a new thread in AddOns for input. Hi Dan I think the best answer is the one Simpilot gave to me on another forum. (hope you don't mind simpilot ) Quote
Administrators simpilot Posted April 13, 2010 Author Administrators Report Posted April 13, 2010 I think the best answer is the one Simpilot gave to me on another forum. (hope you don't mind simpilot ) Ok guys, I have the admin side mostly done and am working on the pilot side now. I am thinking that the system will automatically put the pilot into the next available slot "first come, first serve". Does that work for you? Also, I am thinking an email to the pilot when they signup with all the info from the event.... Getting close to a beta release. Quote
selwynorren Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 Awesome Simpilot. I like the sound of that Quote
Moderators mark1million Posted April 13, 2010 Moderators Report Posted April 13, 2010 Hi it would be nice for the pilots to be able to choose a time based on the event time, but if its too late then no worries. Quote
Administrators simpilot Posted April 14, 2010 Author Administrators Report Posted April 14, 2010 Pilot side... Quote
Moderators mark1million Posted April 14, 2010 Moderators Report Posted April 14, 2010 Excellent I have a big event coming up and would be good to have this in place for that Quote
Moderators Kyle Posted April 14, 2010 Moderators Report Posted April 14, 2010 Excellent I have a big event coming up and would be good to have this in place for that WILL 100% USE THAT! and simpilot is the TOP #1st for releasing awsome great free addons for phpvms! Quote
Flightguy123 Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Woud you guys mind if AAvirtual joined on this amazing idea? Regards Ada Quote
gosox116 Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 Hi Simpilot, Would it be possible to include a few extra features for the release? Here are my ideas: Visual calendar with links to individual event info and sign-ups Allow a fly-in or fly-out (instead of booking time slots, pilots book routes) Total Booked Slots at the Top (# of pilots that have booked slots) Predicted Participants (Admin can set a percentage, and that percentage of booked slots shows... EX: Admin enters 70% threshold, 10 slots are booked, actual predicted participants automatically displays as 7) Briefing Emails (Admin can write a briefing e-mail prior to the event that is only sent to the pilots who have booked slots) Thanks so much! -Carl Quote

Thomas Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 Another Great Addon for PHPVMS, I will install it and let my jaw drop Quote
gosox116 Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 Simpilot, I have installed and tested it in my site. First off, the Beta is AWESOME! I did find a few bugs: --Calendar won't let you select dates, you have to type them in --If you set the slot limit to 10, and 3 members sign up, it shows a total of 13 slots instead of 10 Thank, Carl Quote
