NAdams Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Hey, I thought i was blind and couldn't figure it out, but I searched here and saw someone else was having the same problem and never got their answer http://forum.phpvms.net/topic/3829-removing-an-added-airline/page__p__25932__hl__%2Bdeleting+%2Bairports__fromsearch__1#entry25932 So, my question is.....is there a way to delete the Airports, Fleet, and Airlines from the admin panel that were added. We are switching some of our destination airports and fleet around and I would like to delete some of it so it doesn't show up in our airports list. - Nick Quote

I think Nabeel should put the enable or the disable airport option into phpVMS. 1 Quote
NAdams Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Posted March 28, 2011 You can enable/disable the fleet and the airlines, but not the airports Even though the fleet and airlines and disabled, they still show up with the Schedule Search module. Quote
NAdams Posted March 31, 2011 Author Report Posted March 31, 2011 what if i delete them from the actual database, will this delete them from the admin panel? Quote
Moderators Kyle Posted March 31, 2011 Moderators Report Posted March 31, 2011 Yeah, they are the same thing. When you delete them, it removes it from the DB. Quote
NAdams Posted March 31, 2011 Author Report Posted March 31, 2011 yea, that's the problem i'm having i can't seem to find where to delete them from the admin panel Quote
Nuclear Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 To delete an airport, you need to delete it directly from the database - there is no option in the Admin section. After you delete it from the database, you'll probably need to clear the cache from the Admin panel also. Note: I'm not sure what this might do to any existing PIREPS to or from a deleted airport. I've deleted airports before, but there had not been any PIREPS filed for these airports. Quote
Administrators Nabeel Posted March 31, 2011 Administrators Report Posted March 31, 2011 It will break existing PIREPs if you delete an airport that has been filed on Quote
NAdams Posted April 1, 2011 Author Report Posted April 1, 2011 good to know! All the airports that I would be deleting haven't had any Pireps filed on them. Thanks for all's ya'lls help! - Nick Quote
jacksonscott Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 What directory would the airports be in? I can't find them. Quote
Jeff Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 Open your cPanel Enter your database Click on phpvms_airports Delete the airport(s) you do not want Quote
