TennShadow Posted October 1, 2011 Report Posted October 1, 2011 map Its not showing the time and distance remaining I know, but what are you using to report this? KACARS, XACARS, FSPassenger? Quote
SAV_Brian_CEO Posted October 1, 2011 Author Report Posted October 1, 2011 XACARS is what i use but i have some of my pilot use FSPAX Quote
Strider Posted October 1, 2011 Report Posted October 1, 2011 XACARS doesn't report that, as far as I know. There is nothing wrong with your acars map. Quote
TennShadow Posted October 1, 2011 Report Posted October 1, 2011 XACARS is what i use but i have some of my pilot use FSPAX As Mr. Bean has stated, there is nothing wrong with your live map. FS Passengers doesn't report status updates. Quote
Chris1165 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 XACARS is what i use but i have some of my pilot use FSPAX I may have a fix for this. I too am using xacars and I love phpVMS. But I've noticed since xacars does not report distance remaining it was driving me crazy. After reading on this forum an article how to display the percentage complete, I realized this wouldn't work for me either because of xacars not reporting distance remaining. To make this short, I was able to modify ACARS.PHP to calculate current position and subtract that from the latitude and longitude of the arrival airport. It worked like a champ. This should solve the problem for users using both xacars and kacars. If anyone is interested, I'll probably be posting the code on this forum. I'm just not sure where it's best to post it. Here on this post as a reply, a new topic or the original posting for calculating percentages. Quote
Jeff Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Code Snippets would be the best place to post that. Quote
