michael Kraan
Hi,, one of my pilots have a problem: the problem is that on every pirep landing rate 0 is, (only 1 person has this problem) does anyone know how this can be solved? Greets, michael
flyalaska
You sue they used kACARS? You will get that on a manual PIREP.

tutmeister
I've had that happen to me twice before when FSX crashed during a flight. I usually reload from my in-flight FSsave which is < 1 minute old, but on those two occasions I accidentally reloaded the flight on the ground. This resulted in the landing rate being 0 and the pitch rate being 0, which is what your PIREP is showing. So while not definitive proof of what's happening, you might ask your pilot if this sounds familiar.
Guest lorathon
kACARS only reports what is being reported from FSUIPC. I have never tried it but XUIPC (for X-Plane) is supposed to mimic FSUIPC with limits. Is it possible that the pilot is using X-Plane? I have being waiting for someone to use XUIPC with kACARS but have never had any feedback from anyone. I am not saying this is the issue but just curious. Other than that I would recommend that the pilot update to the newest FSUIPC and maybe even re-install if the pilot already has the newest. Paul suggestion is also a possibility. Although the 0 pitch on take-off is strange also.
TAV1702
I have just had a pilot report this issue today and I verified it inhis pirep. He is not using Xplane.
Guest lorathon
I have seen where FSUIPC is not communicating with kACARS correctly and then the data gets screwy. Sometimes this is caused by firewalls or the pilot may need to ensure that FS is being Run as Admin.
mseiwald
Btw we have a few pilots at Hellenic Airways flying on XPlane - XUIPC with our custom kACARS and it all works normal. All data including landingrates gets sent to our database with no problems Just for Info.
gio1961
Hello to all, how is it possible to have a positive rate of the landing? thanks for any answer ... https://imageshack.com/i/n645jpsj
Moderators servetas Posted June 2, 2014 Moderators Report Share Posted June 2, 2014 This is not a problem of kACARS Free. The FSUIPC reported this rate of landing so the Kacars recorded it. It has happened to me one time during the past.
