CrashGordon
Has anyone successfully installed phpVMS on a site hosted by godaddy.com?
Administrators Nabeel Posted July 12, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted July 12, 2009 I wouldn't recommend them as a host. But it would work
Leiserson
Yeah. They sacrifice functionality and features for ease of access. I would recommend anyother host from the range of BlueHost, HostTank etc.
goldenairways
At the moment I am going to recommend my current host, HostingWorld.co.uk. They host cPanel accounts, and their hosting is quite good, definitly works for me at the moment.
G-NEWC
Try ManobanWeb @ www.manobanweb.com
wrenchca
Quite happy with Bluehost. CPanel and phpMyAdmin makes life so easy. Chuck CYXU
CrashGordon
Thank you for the suggestions. If I can't get things to work on godaddy, I'll know where else to look.
Administrators Nabeel Posted July 14, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted July 14, 2009 Or the recommended hosting topic http://forum.phpvms.net/index.php?topic=669.
CrashGordon
I decided Bluehost looked reasonable, and would probably make the task easier. I can display the phpVMS related stuff from inside a frame or iframe on our main site. It has been about six years since I did any php/MySQL stuff. Hopefully, I won't screw it up too badly. The current system we use is unreliable and I've got to replace it.
Administrators Nabeel Posted July 16, 2009 Administrators Report Share Posted July 16, 2009 I think a few sites here use bluehost, works good
flyalaska
I use Host Gator - http://www.hostgator.com, without any problems.
