Atlantic Air Group Virtually, the only way to fly! "AAG" represents a fictitious cooperative of several real world airlines that operate in North America and abroad. At "present", those airlines are "Provincial", "Air Labrador ", "Porter", "Air Canada Express", and "Air Canada". You will have the choice to fly short, medium, or long range flights using a variety of aircraft. We offer both scheduled and charter flights. The scheduled flight system follows "real world" operations, while the charter system is available for you to create/choose your own flights. In addition to Scheduled flights and Charters, we offer special Tours and Events, all in an effort to make your…

GLOBAL AIR Virtual Airlines has arrived. After the devastation on January 13, 2013 of the former Atlas Virtual Airlines website from a hack, GLOBAL AIR very quickly established itself. Literally with hours of the Atlas site going down, administrators were busy uploading schedules, re-establishing airport and fleet files, and accepting registrations from former Atlas pilots. Seven flights were flown that day, and GLOBAL continues to grow and attract new people. Based in Frankfurt, GLOBAL has hubs in New York, Los Angeles, and St. Maartin International in the Caribbean. Future hubs are planned in Asia, Australia and South Africa. We have an extensive schedule of over four…

At approximately 18:00 hours UTC today, 13 January 2013, Atlas Virtual Airlines was attacked from outside and all of our databases erased. Our fleet, our schedules, our pilots were all ereased from the server. I would request the system moderators to please check and see if they can determine from where this attack came and notify the relevelant authorities. This is the second time our airline has been attacked in this manner, however, the first time was done internally. This time, it appears to have been from an outside source. Kindly let us know what you can tell us from your end.

Virtual Airline's come and go. Here today with grand plans and lots of enthusiasm but gone tomorrow! Airwego is a VA that started back in 2000 and is still going strong today. Perhaps not as grand as it once was in its "hey day" but still offering a home for virtual aviators who want to enjoy the hobby with minimal rules! The focus for the Management Team is to create a community of like minded individuals who are enjoy the hobby to whatever degree of realism they are comfortable with. Some of us are "CTRL+E" guys while others will have spent several hours (perhaps days) studying manuals to extract the maximum level of realism that you can from this fantastic hobby. …

BREAKING NEWS Yesterday, one of our aircraft slid off the end of the runway at Manchester (EGCC) due to significant rainfall as is often common at Manchester. All passengers were evacuated safely and no passengers were injured. The pilot's pride has been injured, but we have forgiven his due to the treacherous conditions. We actually blame the Airport Facilities Director for keeping the airport open during this prolonged torrential storm. Legal wranglings have only just begun and we expect them to go on for some time. The aircraft was damaged beyond repair. If you are interested in joining an airline that val…

Five years ago, a small group of dedicated flight simulator enthusiasts, found themselves looking for a new place to call home. Lots of ideas went back and forth and four months later with the simple slogan Fly Virtually Anywhere!, Canadian Xpress was born. In those short five years, Canadian Xpress has grown from a small start-up virtual airline with more aircraft than pilots, to a well known virtual airline within the online flight simulator community, hosting more than a hundred events a year, and currently the only VATSIM Canadian virtual airline authorized training organization (ATO) that allows us to train, evaluation and issue VATSIM P1 & P2 pilot ratings. All …

This month is about FlightSim Easter Eggs. What is an FS Easter Egg you might ask? Easter Eggs in the computer software world are little hidden secrets developers write in to their software to give you a little shock and surprise should you find them. Easter Eggs have been in FlightSim since the early days back as far as FS4. Where the Prudential sign on One Prudential Plaza in downtown Chicago, would light up as the sun set. FS2000 added more Easter Eggs, like the tethered weather blimp 14,000 feet above the Florida Keys. Some of these Easter Eggs are very time specific, where others can be seen at any time. For this month’s challenge we are going back in time, back t…

This month we hit 2 of the world’s most dangerous approaches in the warm Caribbean. Saba, Juancho E. Yrausquin Airport has the shortest commercial runway in the world, only 396 meters (1,299 ft) long, flanked on one side by high hills, with cliffs that drop into the sea at both ends. Saint Barthélemy, Gustaf III Airport short airstrip is at the base of a gentle slope ending directly on the beach. The arrival descent is extremely steep over the hilltop traffic circle; departing planes fly right over the heads of sunbathers. Ranked the 3rd most extreme airport in the world by The History Channel. This month, your mission is to depart from Princess Juliana (TNCM) on th…
