Hi, I was wondering if someone has some kind of code or addon, where it is possible that you "buy" an aircraft and that you have to earn money to get this aircraft investment returned. This gives a bit of financial administration within your airline and can work with earning stuff back which you buy Thanks. Edwin

I tried it and replaced my realschedulelite_indx.tpl, since that is in the zip file, but i only see 1 airport, and not all airports that have aircrafts stationed on it.

I created an excel sheet based upon my ticket price, fuel charge etc. When i calculate everything and create a pirep, my gross profit is nearly the same in my airline as i calculated in my excel sheet. However when i continue calculating fuel usage, fuel price and total fuel cost, i get a difference, like if there is a small percentage on top of the fuel price For example: *prices in EU I have EDDF with fuel price 1.56 I have a route EDDF - DTMB and burn 24213lbs of fuel. Fuel cost = 1.56 x 24213 = 37772.28 I can carry total 159 paxx on my aircraft, so fuel cost / amount paxx = 237.56 per paxx I add duty, tax, ticket service and basic ticket price which is total 113.85 + 237.56 so my ticket price for this flight is calculated 351.41 This brings the gross flight to 55874.19 I have total expenses of categering/ground service etc total up to 9035.00 so small math on 159 paxx: Gross Profit = 55874.19 Fuel cost = 37772.28 Expenses = 9035.00 Net Profit = 9066.91 I do the flight. I carry 123 paxx. Ticket price is 351.41 x 123 = 43223.43 (on website its 43223.40 so give or take a few cents) When i calculate the fuel on the website, it gives a total of 38983.00 Expenses stays the same. So when i do the math on 123 paxx Gross Profit = 43223.40 Fuel cost = 38983,00 according to phpvms (should be around 377772,28 = -1210,72 difference) Expenses = 9035 Loss Profit = -4794 (in my excelsheet it is = -3583.66 = -1210.34 difference) Now my question is, where is this 1210 euro difference coming from? I figured out that on every flight there is a 0.05 difference on the fuel price. So i inserted 1.56 and after the flight it calculates a fuel price of 1.61, but i don't know why?

i found at air berlin that they show how the ticket price is build up with base price, tax, duty etc and i made a good calculation from there which comes very close to what air berlin charges. however, where i dont understand it, is how do i set up that it uses the correct fuel charge etc and do i have to do that for every airport? i found that the default fuel is 5.10, but do i have to enter something like 0.72 like you mention? i must say getting a decent finance up, is pretty difficult. It's either you make a s***load of cash, or you go in debt very hard.

phpVMS installation (issue with writing folders)
Edwin replied to t_bergman's topic in Support Forum
Hi, easiest thing to do is rightclick on your main website folder and adjust the security for the admin user to at least read/write. Then inheritance will do its job and you have no problem. -
thats an idea, but how do you compare it with fuel price and stuff like that. For example, i have a flight from ellx to eddt, say its 99eu, i'm going into a big loss due to fuel etc.

Purchased the module a few days ago and must admit that it's well worth it. I don't have any other pilots and my VA mostly for personal use only, but for me combined with a lot of payware scenery airports and regions, i can now set tours so i can put myself on sort of a list to fly to these payware sceneries For example, I have german airfields 3 from aerosoft, and now combined with my eddf scenery and the twin otter with my own paint, i set up a tour around germany, so i can visit all these nice airports thumbs up for this addon

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has a nice list of price and expenses for their VA and would like to share with me. I find it very difficult to find a balance between ticket / pilot / fuel price and additional expenses. Your info/help would be great. Thanks! Best regards, Edwin

pity development is stopped, since the idea is very good, but i can understand your point Ok, so its my last description ELLX-EDDT-EDDW-ELLX or I have to use a plane for every route.
-
so, the schedule is based on charter flights, and not line flights. Because when for example a pilot flies from 9:00am ELLX to EDDT and does the return flight from 11:00am EDDT to ELLX, it could be very well that his next flight at say 13:00pm can be from ELLX to EDDW and at say 15:00pm he goes back from EDDW to ELLX. My thought always was with schedules: Flight 1000 - Departure ELLX - time 09:00 am - Arrival EDDT - 10:00 am - Aircraft B732 - EV-TVX Flight 1001 - Departure EDDT - time 11:00 am - Arrival ELLX - 12:00 pm - Aircraft B732 - EV-TVX Flight 1003 - Departure ELLX - time 13:00 pm - Arrival EDDW - 14:00 pm - Aircraft B732 - EV-TVX Flight 1004 - Departure EDDW - time 15:00 pm - Arrival ELLX - 16:00 pm - Aircraft B732 - EV-TVX So flight is ELLX -> EDDT -> ELLX -> EDDW -> ELLX So 1 aircraft for that day is scheduled to use multiple routes. What i understand from your point is: Flight 1000 - Departure ELLX - time 09:00 am - Arrival EDDT - 10:00 am - Aircraft B732 - EV-TVX Flight 1001 - Departure EDDT - time 11:00 am - Arrival EDDW - 12:00 pm - Aircraft B732 - EV-TVX Flight 1003 - Departure EDDW - time 13:00 pm - Arrival ELLX - 14:00 pm - Aircraft B732 - EV-TVX ELLX -> EDDT -> EDDW -> ELLX
-
So you're saying I need to create something like this: 1001 ELLX-EDDT 1002 EDDT-EDDW 1003 EDDW-ELLX but then when i fly to EDDT, i cannot go back to ELLX, but have to fly from EDDT to EDDW first and then go back to ELLX?
-
ok, so if i'm correct for every route i need to have an aircraft attached to it. So 10 routes, 10 aircrafts.
-
Hi, I understand that, but my aircraft is in ELLX and i still only see the ELLX-EDDT route and not also the ELLX-EDDW route, so i have no option to choose wether i like to fly to EDDT or EDDW. I found somewhere earlier in this thread that I need to change some code to list all available routes for particular aircraft in my case ELLX and that if i not change it, it only sees the first available. I only was not able to find what code needs to be changed.
-
Using real schedule light: Is it correct that for the aircraft with x registration you only see the first route: for example: i have with aircraft EV-TVX: 1001 ELLX-EDDT 1002 EDDT-ELLX 1003 ELLX-EDDW 1004 EDDW-ELLX When i want to do a flight bid, it should show all routes available for EV-TVX from ELLX towards EDDT or EDDW, but i only see the route ELLX-EDDT. What am i doing wrong? Do i need an aircraft for every route?
-
Fixed, thanks!!! Added both option to display the fleet overview and last location and replaced the default schedule to the realschedule one.
-
Sometimes i still have to run this code; SET @@global.sql_mode= ''; Otherwise my system stops registrering pending items etc. I'm trying to figure out how to auto-run this, but haven't found it yet. Anyone an idea?
-
Hi, I've done a few flights on new own virtual airline and came across the following question: Is it possible to create some sort of last location of the aircraft and that you lock your schedules to it? For example, I fly from ELLX to EDDT with a B732, so that aircraft with registration last location will be EDDT. Currently I can do the same route many times in a row with the attached aircraft, but i miss out some realism with this. I googled around a bit and searched the forum, but nothing so far. Any help is welcome, if its not possible, please let me know so I can stop searching. Thanks! Edwin

Reinstalled the whole thing with mysql55 since the same happend with mysql51 and only thing I did was execute the SET @@global.sql_mode= ''; in the database query. Filed a report and it worked!!!!!! Thanks a million for your support with this so solution on new installation is, install everything by default as in the dummy guide and execute the SET @@global.sql_mode= ''; in the database. Then all should be fine

I deleted old installations and installed mysql 5.1 and installed phpvms. I'm back to square one saying the field price doesnt have a default value..
-
i found 5.1, but there are a lot of builds in 5.1, which do you recommend? http://downloads.mysql.com/archives.php?p=mysql-5.1
-
i found this on the internet: http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article/doesnt-have-a-default-value-errors/ could it be that somehow my mysql installation is somehow newer and could cause some values not written correctly during installation? I looked up my mysql installer and this is what it says: mysql-installer-5.5.15.0

just did a flight, price error is gone, but new error appeared: Time: 10.06.11 21:13:53 Backtrace: DB::write_debug > DB::query > PIREPData::fileReport > ACARSData::FilePIREP > kACARS_Free->index > call_user_func_array > MainController::RunAllActions Query: INSERT INTO phpvms_pireps( `pilotid`, `code`, `flightnum`, `depicao`, `arricao`, `route`, `route_details`, `distance`, `aircraft`, `flighttime`, `flighttime_stamp`, `landingrate`, `submitdate`, `accepted`, `log`, `load`, `fuelused`, `expenselist`, `source`, `exported`, `rawdata`) VALUES ( 1, 'EDB', '1000', 'ELLX', 'EHRD', '', 'a:0:{}', '155.43734663832', '1', '00.40', '00:40:00', '-501', NOW(), 0, '[18:45] Aircraft Title - CS 737-200 KLM*[18:45] Aircraft Model - B732*[18:45] Flight Number EDB1000*[18:45] Departure ELLX*[18:45] Destination EHRD*[18:45] Boarding*[18:47] Taxiing to Runway*[18:47] Taking Off*[18:47] Taking Off*[18:47] 145kts*[18:47] pitch angle -13 degrees*[18:47] 45302 (lbs) of fuel onboard*[18:48] Climbing*[18:59] TOC Reached*[18:59] Cruise 24000*[19:02] TOD Reached*[19:02] Descending*[19:03] Simulator Paused*[19:05] Simulator Un-Paused*[19:15] On Approach*[19:17] Simulator Paused*[20:02] Simulator Un-Paused*[20:03] Simulator Paused*[20:04] Simulator Un-Paused*[20:05] Simulator Paused*[20:05] Simulator Un-Paused*[20:14] Landing Rate -501fpm*[20:14] 38483 (lbs) of fuel onboard*[20:14] pitch angle -12 degrees*[20:14] Taxiing to Gate*[20:15] Arrived*[20:15] Max Sim Rate: 1x*[20:15] kACARS_Free Version 1.0.1.0*', '105', '3276.29768851', '0', 'kACARS', 0, '') Error: (1364) - Field 'gross' doesn't have a default value the alter command i executed seem to have solved the error for the price, can i do the same command for the other fields as well?

i think i altered the it now and will check with a flight and let you know outcome

I created only one schedule and added something like 65 in it.
