Ok Thanks
-
Ahh ok that's cool man I appreciate the info

I have the new beta. Is the code supplied on the first page here still needed to call up the info on ones site? Or is it default now. Just curious as I am not seeing it anywhere other than where I added it allready. Now just to get it to update on recalcs and all will be good to go. ;-)

Ah ok that's cool. I do not have FSFK but what does it do for ACARS?
-
Sounds great. I'm not really having any issues the way I do it per say, one time it did not give pilot pay but it was easily adjusted. Other than that it keeps pretty good track of things.

yeah i was logged in. I did not see the number for the bug I reported so I had to use the previous link to get to it and when I did, there was no way to add to it. I had loads of stuff going on around me earlier and I probably just missed a comment link or something simple. things is calm now and I am flying and Carrie is on her game so it's back to work for me on the website.

Ok that's cool. Thought I would be safe than sorry and ask before I did anything stupid to keep from changing 1 line of code ;D

I see in the current beta version that now when adding schedules or editing old ones, flight level is now a part of it. Is this required and what does it do? Just curious. I want to make sure I am using the system as I should be incase of issues I can report acurately. ;-)

Ah ok I got ya now ;-)

Yeah I saw the add comment button. ;-) I'm a dork today. Loads of stuff going on around me. Yeah I got a very specific flight number to use. There is no mistaking that it is a Free Flight. And you are right, aircraft reg is VERY important for it to work. Thats why if the flight in the database call for a 737 but they choose to fly it in an MD80 instead, they can add that in comment before submitting. I'm going to try the remarks thing in ACARS and see if it sends that info as well.

Hi Nabeel. On ticket 42, I was reading and allthough it was chalked up to design flaw on the word moving up next to the rank image, please understand that the profile page on my site has NOT been altered at all. ;-) Was going to comment on it over at the bug site but it did not have a add comment link anymore under it

Hey, I was curious, I have the landing stats addon on my site and there is an edit that has to be done in the admin files. Each time there is an update to phpVMS this is over written. I know I can copy files to my skin folder and they work great. What about admin files? Such as pireps_list.tpl If it can be copied to my skin folder, do I need to make an admin folder in my skin folder and place it there or just in the skin folder with the rest of the files?

Just for the record, I am using the latest beta Version 2.0.795 and this works fine on my website.....When it wants to. It seems as though 2 or 3 or 4 pireps can be filed with ACARS and it won't update the website. Then some time later after another report or two, it will update all the past flights all at once on the website. Admin panel section works great 100% of the time. Any ideas on why this is not updating on each filed ACARS pirep? Even after recalculating everything, it does not update. ;-)
-
See that is just it, Admin on site is me and 1 other guy. If I or him come in first and accept pireps, then when you go and view all pireps, you can not add comments to that pirep. So I guess it is only to pending pireps that comments can be added? Like I say the reason why I bring this up is for charter ( non scheduled flight). The only way I will accept them is if they comment on what was flown and from where and to. Like the author of the FAQ said, we know right off the get go not to accept a transatlantic flight in a Cessna 172 ;-) I fly online at an organization that uses Squawkwin and in it they have ACARS as well and it does have a comments box. I wonder if this is the same as the remarks box on ACARS. If so, then all the pilot would need to do is add his/her comments in the remarks? Question is, will remarks get sent through to the website via ACARS pireps.

I noticed tonight, I did some traffic patterns and flew around St Louis for a while and landed. Uploaded pirep via FSACARS all went smooth. Here is my question. Is it possible to make it so that admin can add comments to a pirep that has been submitted using ACARS? Or is it possible to add comments via ACARS before submitting the pirep? I have setup a bogus flight as suggested in the FAQ for flights not on schedule and I instructed pilots when able to add comments as in where they fly from and to and all that good stuff. If not is no biggie to me. I can always have them file manually, but that kind of defeats the purpose of ACARS. ;-)

Ok man not a problem.

I installed this earlier today and as said, the image issue for awards was fixed....BUT In admin panel for the image, all I get is the url. When viewing awards on profile, it simply gives the description for the award. No Image. If go to pilot center, now it lists the description of the award as before, BUT now it moves the word Award right up next (right hand side) to the Pilot rank image. Added a ticket for this. I do have screen shots if you need them.

I went and looked and every one of our schedules have distances. You can not put miles in a manual pirep and nothing on acars sends nm flown either that I can find. I'm just confused how it is right on one but not the other. I only look at the one anyhow. Like I said, I was told by the other guy about it. ;-)
-
Well, I can go look right quick. Im sure they do. We calculate all miles when we add schedules.
-
My apologies in advacne as I am more than sure this has been covered so many times it is getting old hearing about it again. I am looking in my admin panel at finances and I'm looking at the over view and it shows my aircraft miles wrong. For example, my A388 shows as being flown for 00:00:35 hours and 10 nm That is just a tad on the off side. Have I missed a fix for this somewhere? I am looking to keep an accurate account of all aircraft for 100 hour maint checks. I am using Version 2.0.795

I use this method as well. I only added 1 flight to the database and added an aircraft to it. If you use ACARS, only the flight number really needs to match. I did one tonight from georgia to Rio and all I put in was the flight number and used my own aircraft to fly in and it went well. Oh and I added the correct aircraft reg as well. Other then that, it's pretty much a free for all using this method. BUT if someone books that flight, it will not be available to the next person. You allways have the option of turning off remove flight from schedules when bid on in your config file.
-
Ok I added that. Since I am on my site pretty much for good tonight doing a bit of this and that, I won't be able to find out if all is good until tomorrow since I don't have to work again thanks to the weather. >

Ok. I never looked in there. ;-)
