aarbee
I have an issue with sending mail from my freshly installed site (version 7). And I looked where to change the SMTP settings in what file. In a friends installation I did some time ago, I found that I had edited the env.php file. So I searched in the new site for that same file, but I cannot find it. However I also did find a config.php in the bootstrap directory. I did add the SMTP stuff in there, but that seems not to work. Wrong spot? I am using a mailadres from my hosting company. Help is appreciated. RobB Edited April 18 by aarbee

Administrators ProAvia Posted April 19 Administrators Report Share Posted April 19 The env.php file has been replaced by the .env file. All the email settings are in there. Return the config.php file to its default state. In addition to the link kindly provided by @DisposableHero , your hosting panel should provide an Email Accounts area with valuable info. If your hosting provides cPanel, have a look at this article to set up SMTP https://cpanel.net/blog/tips-and-tricks/setting-up-and-troubleshooting-smtp-in-cpanel/ I would suggest updating any phpVMS v7 sites you help with to the latest dev build, available in the #v7-releases channel of the phpVMS discord.
aarbee
I did post in the other thread, that it has been resolved. It appeares that the hosting company wrote a different portnr for the SMTP than I should use. But thanks for helping.
