I am working to setup phpVMS too see if it can replace the current system we use for our Virtual Airline. In our case, we have about 50 different aircraft types available to our pilots. Our existing route structure is designed to limit the aircraft available for particular routes --- for example they cannot fly a Cessna 172 from KJFK to KLAX! We have assigned about 7 or 8 different "categories" for the aircraft, for example ... Category "G" includes B757, B767, B787, A300 Category "H" includes B747, B777, MD11, A330, A340, A380 Can anyone suggest a method to employ using the aircraft and schedules tables to accomplish this restriction on the aircraft that can be cho…

I am trying to use a planning program called Virtual Dispatch. It calls the information from an XML file. I need to populate that xml file from my sql databases Do i write a module or class first ? (looking for bid information) and can I do it directly in the xml file ? This may be WAY over my head, so before I pull out too much more hair, I'm wondering if it is even possible, or perhaps someone else is using this program and can give me an example that I can reverse engineer ? I am looking to get the flight tracking google map to show a line for the actual flight path of the aircraft, much like Vatsim does. (see image) I have been trying to reverse engineer it, but its not working. Every time I think I'm getting close I loose it... any help would be greatly appreciated !

Alright, so using x10 Hosting (Free;I can barely bring myself to spend bandwidth), I'm planning to start up a VA. So, I got to initiating install.php in my browser (Google Chrome, if that helps), but it didn't come up with the database setup screen, but a wall of coding. I don't know if I misinterpreted the tutorial, maybe I missed a step, or I botched something else. So, i'll have to swallow my pride and ask for help.

Hello ! We have some problems with the data base. In fact, when one of our aircrafts have to go to the maintenance : we don't tick "Enabled" in the aircraft page. But, the aircraft is still enabled in the flight repport page so that pilots can choose it. We would like the aircraft not to be in the list in flight repports. Hi I was wondering if I could get a code to hide all schedules with the same A/C registration if it's been bid on. meaning, if someone places a bid on let's say KLAX to KSFO with A/C registration E-PA123. now another person is trying to bid on KSJC to KLAX with the same A/C registration E-PA123 but they can't because the A/C is already booked. Right now I have set it up to hide the schedule that has a bid on but can't figure it out for all the routes. Any help please?

Hello, I'm new on Phpvms, and I'm stuck on the install. I'm following the dummies guide, after setting up the database, I dont know how to run the install. I'm stuck on this (copy from manual) 3.02 In this next illustration I have outlined the "Install.php". Please understand this is not an executable file. What you need to do is right click on this file and scroll down to properties "Click" open and copy the URL path to the "Install.php" Can somebody explain me how to do that? Hello again! I want to change the "text message" that is sent to a "new" pilot when he registers. I also want to change the "text message" that is sent when I activate or decline a "new" pilot application. Where are those messages located, and what are they called? In the first case, I'm just looking to change the wording a bit. In the second case, I want to be able to change the wording to let him know that I will be sending "another message soon", that will include his Forum "Username" and "Password". Thanks guys!
