I had the same issue once and never figured it out. I have used KAcars many times since and it never happened to me again. Only the one time. I did double check all my aircraft and reg numbers and everything was in place.

Well, the point of this mod is to actually let users who may mix their own music or compose their own stuff to upload and play it and not to rip off music artists. That was the original use of this mod when it came out. And yes you all are right and thats why I said. it would be up to the web master to moderate the music. It does have an option in the admin panel to moderate users and to delete tracks. I guess before I posted pics I should have put songs in the list that were not copyright to a big label. Ooops! On a side note, I have made some more progress on this. I got some user interface done that is located in the pilot center.

So I started working on a project to pass the time now that I am not working again. I started in on a project that will allow users to upload MP3's and have them on their profile like the old myspace type of thing. I got the sql work done, admin panel for mp3 player settings, admin panel for moderating users mp3 player usage, and some other odds and ends. I fear I may have bitten off more than I can chew though. I am working like mad on it hoping to have it done one day soon. I may need to ask for help from some of you that are slick with this whole codon module thing. Now on to the disclaimer..... I do NOT condone ripping off artists. I believe they need to be paid. If you like their music, by all means pay for it. How this thing gets used if and when it gets done is up to the sites admin, not me. This player is fully customizable meaning colors can be changed if wanted. Not only can a person upload a song, but he or she can upload the album image as well and it will show when that song is playing. If a pilot is looking at another pilots profile and likes a song he or she is hearing, you can rip the song from their playlist and it will be added to your list as well. This thing also has a standalone player. Don't want to stop the song? Open up the popup player and browse the site some more. It also has the ability to play all songs once, shuffle, or repeat. For the admin: You have the ability to set how big of a file is allowed, and all that good stuff. Then you can moderate users. If they upload a copyrighted song, you can easily delete it. OR you can set how many songs each user is allowed. This setting will over ride the default setting that you choose in the main admin settings. In a nut shell, that is about it. If I can think of any more details, I will gladly post. Oh one final detail.... This mod was written for phpBB by a guy we called Bigglesworth. He has since vanished and after unanswered emails, I took over the mod and all his copyrights for his original code will remain intact.... What very little remains of it.

I have not messed with this for a while now. I did attach a copy of it in another thread if I am not mistaken. I could be wrong though. Now that I am back to not working again, I will mess with it some and try to get an updated copy released. I do know I had some errors fixed with others to go. I'll let you know. Ray

Not sure about your fuel issue, but I have an excel spread sheet that I use for flight pay and ticket/cargo fees. I can not for the life of me remember what formula I used. I may dig up the spreadsheet and share it. It works real nice like.

going to the maint are in admin panel and deleting cache works too. Usually when ever I add something to my site, I always delete cache. Seems to help.

Reset the pilot pay? I am having a hard time following what you are asking here. I will say this much, I did get it fixed to use the newer pay system. It no longer will give back the pilot the money that they spent to buy something once you reset pilot pay. Is that what you are referring to? Here is a million dollar question..... And it is just a thought that came to mind. We all know that phpBB is real good at stopping spammers for a very short time and that is it. Sooner or later, they all get in be it human or bot. If we set registration to off, will this module register the pilot anyhow since technically one is not using the registration page to begin with? If so, then that would avoid any spammer issues what so ever and avoid the need to do any extra mods to stop spammers. Thoughts? Ideas? Questions? Comments?

That's great! Thanks! And the people that it is not working for, I am guessing the same thing. Their install of phpBB database is not in the same db as their phpvms. I tried this addon and it worked right from the get go.

The answer is in the error. It is saying that template file does not exist. It might have got uploaded, but in the wrong location, or it got corrupted. I would try to upload that file again and delete cache and all that good stuff and try again. This one worked for me right out of the box.

That should work no matter what. Did you make sure you created the proper directories for it? I am more than sure you did though. That is odd. It should work trial version or unlocked.

Mark1million and I have done some work to that module since the author seems to have abandoned it. I do plan on working on it some more real soon like. I just got started with a new term at school and have been busy. I plan on working on this some more this week and that was one of the code edits I was going to give.

css file is correct. You can change what fonts are used in the css file. However, I would avoid fancy fonts. Some older PC users might not have the font you choose and it will show up as plain jane for them anyhow. For example, I am on a VERY old copy of xp pro. Even updated I still do not have the Papyrus font. So if someone uses it on site, it will show up as a standard font to me. But yes, try the css file.

Yeah I believe Nabeel stopped support for FSACARS since it is so buggy and it's authors no longer make it or support it.

Did you make a backup of the database before making any changes? If so, just upload you db backup.

Ahhh, it works! But why give the person a username of their last name? Just curious. It is easy enough to allow username changes in the forum so it is really no biggie.

Am I correct in saying that the phpBB database needs to be in the same database as the phpVMS database?

Yeah I got it too, however the cost did not hurt me a bit and ordinarily it would... I'm broker then a 3 legged dog. 5 of us chipped in 10$ a piece. A VA with a major amount of active members should have no issues at all scraping up the money. It is a real nice addition to a VA.

Hi Eddie. I actually have that one( you mentioned ) installed and have been modding the hell out of it. I can say it is not the same thing at all as this one. This mod here you can put in airport diagram pdf files and sids and stars and stuff like that. It actually works pretty good.

No it is I who is thanking you for the great module I hope that little ditty helped you out. I just got to thinking about it and looked at a couple other modules and figured out how it worked.

Yeah you can set the pay per rank as Nabeel has pointed out, or, when you create a route, you can set a pay amount for that flight. I actually pay all my pilots per flight. Works out real good. I created a spreadsheet in Excel that calculates a pay for the flight based on miles flown and what type of flight it is Cargo, Pax, or Charter. Oh and it also gives me the ticket price to charge. So Nabeel has us set up real good. If you need any more help, just post. Ray
