Hey no probs. And one more minor issue I found. If you edit a pilot through the pilot manager, one must make sure to set the pilots airline before saving or it will strip the pilot of his or her call letters like : TFO (for example) on the site they would just show up as something like 009 instead of TFO009 and then after you do save, you must then go back in to the pilot manager that comes with phpvms and reset their country as well or it will default back to afganistan.

Nice job! One thing I noticed is when you edit a pilots info and click save, it goes to a successful page but never returns to the pilot manager. Is this on purpose? I believe when you submit or save anything, it should take you right back to the page you were on. I get taken to an all white page with a success message and left there.

Im curious how to get this working. I have been trying for a little while and yet to figure it out. I got mine setup to post to twitter in my local config. Got it all setup at twitter as far as I know. Any secrets or anything on this?

Thats just it Mark, the flights are marked charter, passenger, and cargo accordingly. I verified it in the databse as well. However, when someone flys a charter or a cargo flight and files a pirep, it is recorded in the database as a passenger flight no matter what type of flight type it was. I can easily edit the database when needs be, but after while it would get real old. I know if fixed this issue once before, but it was so long ago, I don't recall what was done to fix it.

Kind bump. Anyone?

Not a bad idea actually. I never thought of that. And yeah, I had to drop a bit of sarcasm in there. Never hurts once in a while.

Many old timers here may recall the issue of flights being saved in the database as the wrong flight type. Namely charters. I filed pirep and in my pireps table, the flight type is listed as P when in fact it was a charter flight which should have been saved as flight type H. To confirm I had the flights set up accordingly, I double checked the schedules table in the database and sure enough, the flight type was in fact H not P. Does anyone recall the fix for this issue? I have searched and searched adn coming up blank. I found a couple hits but nothing serious. Thanks!

Sorry, I no longer use FSFK on my site. I don't even have it anymore so I can not test it for you. I wish I could help.

For some odd reason, VA Central is only showing a pirep on Tuesday. Has anyone else ever had this issue? Clearly we have pireps every day of the week. Is this something on my end or VA Central? Thanks fellers!

I actually use latest version of WAMP server on win 7 64 bit OS. And I actually use it on Win XP Pro as well on my other machine. I have never had any issues at all using phpVMS on either machine using WAMP. That is where I do all my work first before tossing the files on a live site.

Well, ordinarilly, I would not do so. I was enquiring to see if anyone ever released anything like that in the releases. I did a search and came up with a million things besides. Next time I'll post in the general chat. Please pardon me for being such a newbie to the forums

Hello fellas. I am curious if anyone ever came up with an addon for the news module to make it so if one had created hub pages, one could post news for that hub only instead of it showing up on the front page as airline news. I have saw it done before, just not sure anyone ever released anything publicly. Later on guys. Have fun!

I actually got it solved. Thanks for replying though Tom. And boy do I know how time goes. I try and squeeze this all in when I can.

I hate to kick this up again, I did this once before and it worked. I have since replaced my files and now don't recall where I used this at. Can you give me a quick refresher Tom? Thanks!

Hi Dave. *EDIT* Edited original post to say thanks for posting that link. Your version still had the pay per flight option that I have been searching for for months now.

Ok the million dollar question. Has anyone ever figured out how to show an image or something in the forum index if there is a new post made? I have recent posts on my front page of my site but I don't like it being there. I have tried until I was blue in the face and I can not get it to let me know if there is a new post or not to show and imjage.

I use WAMP but at the same time, I have a subdomain I use as well. Which ever I feel like working with that day is what I go with.

I have just had a pilot report this issue today and I verified it inhis pirep. He is not using Xplane.

Hello. I hate to kick up old posts but I must. I replied to a fella here a while back about this module and I told him I would get it back out and test it and I did. Here is the skoop: Right now, it is not going to work properly with the new upgraded vewrsion Nabeel has released. The pay is all messed up. When Nabeel released the version of phpVMS with the "Pay Per Flight" this module was rewritten to NOT give back the pilots money after making a purchase when the admin recalculates everything in the admin panel. The new version, for one reason or the other, has done away with the pay per flight feature. If and when Nabeel releases a new version and adds this feature back, I will gladly kick this one back up and work on it again. Until then, my files will collect dust. Sorry everyone.

Found a typo in mail.php There is a message that says : You have reveived a message at ( airline name here ). It should read : You have received

Ahh ok thanks Dave. I'll go have a look at that. And it's nice to be back. *EDIT* I had a look, thanks Dave! That is exactly what I was after.

Hi Dave. I got the staff module off of you some time back and now I got a quick question. Is it possible to fetch the staff position, if exists, and place it on the pilots public profile? I jacked some code from the staff_index.tpl file but I could not get it to print the information I was trying to call. Then I guess if that pilot held no position then it would jsut carry on as the code was made default in the public profile. So what I am after is this for example: Pilot ID: SRT004 Position: CEO Rank: Sr. Captain Total Flights: 4 Total Hours: 678.30 Location: United States Then if I was not assigned a staff position it would be just deafult: Pilot ID: SRT004 Rank: Sr. Captain Total Flights: 4 Total Hours: 678.30 Location: United States I have saw this done on a couple other sites but was not sure if they used your staff module to ull this off or not. I was thinking one could kick some code up for it, but if they already own your staff module, then why try and reinvent the wheel? Thanks for your time today. Ray

I'm going to dig this out next week and take a look at it again. I am loaded up with hospital visits the rest of this week. Hopefully next week is wide open and I can work on it again.
