  1. I like the idea of that editor, but from experience in the past running forums of various types, allowing HTML in a post is not the wisest of ideas. Be careful not to allow it to run any java scripts in a post as well. That could easily spell disaster for your website. Lets take MySpace for example. It is soooooo prone to viruses that I have all but stopped going there. RARELY will I add anything fancy to my profile at all from any websites out there. They have you insert html stuff and scripts, then next thing you know, your infecting everyone in town. At least maybe make it so that the admin has a choice of who to allow html use to and who not to. I hope I have not read to far into this and am just taking it out of context. :-[ Obviously, that is just my opinion and you know what is said about opinions So with that, I will thank you for such an awesome addon. I am more than sure if you continue this even further, it will be one hell of a great forum for phpVMS use. So far on my test site it is Forum 1 Errors 0
  2. Yeah I know what you mean I am planning on mixing up a batch of Wort on New Years day to kick things off right. I have a batch of West Coast Pale Ale in the Fermenter now, So I am thinking that my next one in the pipeline will be a nice Cowboy American Lager. Nothing like starting out the new year with a fresh batch of beer fermenting! ;D ;D
  3. Hey everyone! I have been gone for ever it seems but it's only been days and I am WAY behind on the beta versions. Hell I am still on 22 and we are now up to 38 I see. I'm glad all the dam holiday stuff will be over here in a couple days and everything around my house can get back on track. Hope everyone got what they wanted/needed for Xmas and that you all have a very Happy New Year. And my resolution for this year is going to be to quit lying. Yes that's right. Every year I say I am going to do this or that and never do, so this year I am not even gonna lie about it at all. lol I am just simply not going to do anything or say anything about doing anything. ;D ;D ;D
  4. Was digging through VA Central and was looking at most of the VA websites that are a member there. I must admit, I was quite impressed by what I saw. VA websites have come a long way since I first started simming WAYYYYYYY back when. All of the sites I saw were great! Makes mine look very very bad. :-[ Maybe one of these days I will be able to afford to have a skin made for me. My skills are so dam weak it is not funny. I can integrate mods and such, just cant skin to save my life. Anyhow, enough of my babbling on and on. Happy Holidays all and keep up the great work on your VA sites. Ray

  6. I actually have a up to the latest beta virgin install. If you want it tested on a site with no tweaks or mods done, let me know and I'll gladly give it a go. I am the only user on the site as well. I use the site strictly to test out new phpVMS beta releases.
  7. Most likely not. :-[ I always tell my kids, " Directions are your friends. They tell you what to do" I should take my own advice eh? I'll go have a look at this. Thanks again Nabeel. Will come back and mark it solved if infact this is what is the problem. Are these Docs we are discussing included with ACARS? I want to be sure I am looking in the correct place. ;D BUT, it has been reported to me that XAcars has to be manually changed every time a pirep is submitted as well due to the fact that it will only report in lbs. Might it be a wise idea for me in the long run to switch over to pounds instead?
  8. That was my next question. Is there a setting in ACARS that we set to tell it what to report in? Everything in the phpVMS config files are fine.
  9. here is the log from the pirep I have been discussing here. Check it out. http://thunderva.mweva.com//index.php/pireps/view/56
  10. Version 2.0.819 Acars Version 4.15 updated Yeah I am more than positive it was fixed though prior to this post. But for some reason, when sending in that pirep, it is charging me for pounds and not gallons. I wasn't sure how accurate my numbers were when I posted the first time, So I went back and triple checked my config file, Looked at the Acars log for fuel, and the number used in the text file matched perfectly to what it charged me for in the Admin panel of website. The funny part is, in the admin panel of the website, when editing the pirep, under the fuel used area, it specifically says Gallons Used bust shows the amount of punds from the ACARS log. ;D I have tweaked and pinched and poked on my site until I was blue in the face, but no admin tpl's or php files have ever been touched. Could there possibly be something in the change log related to this that I failed to do?
  11. Hi Nabeel. I know this has been fixed and kicked up and put back to rest soooooo many times, but, none the less, I must kick a dead dog back to life yet again. I just did a flight from KLAX-KMCI in a B767 In the ACARS log, it shows me using 41148 lbs of fuel. So I sent my pirep, go in to accept it, and look and it says I used 41148 gallons of fuel. I do have all my stuff set to gallons, but apparently ACARS does not see it that way. So I plugged the correct info in to the pirep and submitted my change and it actually went from loosing 131,00 some odd Dollars that flight to an actual profit. This is a major problem the way I see it. I have been tracking fuel for around 2 months now on my site and we ( 5 test pilots ) fly all the time and the VA financial wise is all but bankrupt from fuel cost alone. Our only option at this time is to NOT use ACARS at all unless I have missed a key setting somewhere. As far as Xacars goes, I am not sure about it. I only have 1 guy testing with it atm. I can dig up the numbers from there and see if any outrageous fuel uses have been logged. V 819 php5.2.x
  12. Looking to move my admin center link from main nav, to my footer. I robbed the code out of the core nav for the admin link and it gave me a parse error on site and messed up the entire layout. Here is the code I tried to use. <?php echo $MODULE_NAV_INC;?> <?php if(Auth::LoggedIn()) { if(PilotGroups::group_has_perm(Auth::$usergroups, ACCESS_ADMIN)) { echo '<li><a href="'.fileurl('/admin').'">Admin Center</a></li>'; } ?> I'm thinking I might just need to go with the following <?php if(Auth::LoggedIn()) { if(PilotGroups::group_has_perm(Auth::$usergroups, ACCESS_ADMIN)) { echo '<li><a href="'.fileurl('/admin').'">Admin Center</a></li>'; } ?>
  13. Not sure if this is by accident or what. Now NON admin have a link next to a pilots pireps that say Add Comment Edit Pirep When that person Clicks either of those 2 links, it tells them that they can not add a comment or edit pirep because it does not belong to them. AND it will not let Admin do either of those 2 either. Would it be easier to not anyone see that at all if they are not an admin? If so, and it still shows up to admin, they need to be able to do those functions.

  15. This would be great! A full VA script with forum, airmail, exam center............ Now that would be a package. ;D
  16. Patience is a virtue! Nabeel has a bunch going on now with a release coming out soon. Give it a few days and someone will adventualy stumble on this and may be able to help you do what you need to do. Constantly bumping won't help matters any at all. And yeah, I think stats for each hub/Airline would be cool too but I do not think the system is setup that way. Good luck in finding a way to do this.
  17. Ok the double award name was my fault. I found my error. But none the less, the rest is the same. I have on my test site, build 816 with code added from that thread to make the image show up. The code is <strong>Awards</strong> <?php if(is_array($allawards)) { ?> <ul> <?php foreach($allawards as $award) { /* To show the image:*/?> <li><?php echo $award->name ?><img src="<?php echo $award->image?>" alt="<?php echo $award->descrip?>" /></li> <?php } ?> </ul> I have created a test account with full admin rights If you want to go in and mess around for a few minutes to see it first hand in action. If you do, let me know and I'll PM you the info.
  18. And full install upgraded to 816 does the same thing. It has the bullet from the list then gives the award name. No image no nothing. I am going to add the code to it from that thread I posted about and let you know what happens. Oh and can you tell me what this means please.... I am sure I have a permissions error going on while trying to upload an avatar. Warning: imagesy(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/test/core/common/PilotData.class.php on line 345 Warning: imagesx(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/test/core/common/PilotData.class.php on line 346 Warning: Division by zero in /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/test/core/common/PilotData.class.php on line 349 Warning: imagecreatetruecolor() [function.imagecreatetruecolor]: Invalid image dimensions in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/test/core/common/PilotData.class.php on line 351 Warning: imagecopyresized(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/test/core/common/PilotData.class.php on line 352 Warning: imagepng(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/test/core/common/PilotData.class.php on line 356 Warning: imagedestroy(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/test/core/common/PilotData.class.php on line 357 The x's were my doing for security purposes.
  19. Ok I can now confirm that in the full install it is the same way. Upgrading the test site now to beta to test further.
  20. Hey Nabeel, my apologies. I failed to give you some key info. All along since I initially installed the Full Install some time back when I first found phpVMS, this feature has never worked accordingly for me. All it showed was the list bullet and award name. To get it to the point it is now, I used the code I found in THIS thread.
