Not a problem. Can't wait to see what you come up with when we work on a design together. -

Looks very nice Sava, simple but effective -
To me it looks like a configuration setting for HTML structuring by defining the language of the site for search engines and bots.

Agreed with the above. Reach Airways was in development for 6 months before I opened the doors to hiring only AFTER I had set up a website and got everything functional and in place for it. I used those six months to establish the airlines idea, researching other VAs and what pilots were interested in and also looking at areas where Reach could stand out from the other airlines. I also used the time to create repaints, trial routes and do some basic preparations for advertising on various forums and videos for youtube. Establishing a successful VA isn't an instant overnight thing, like a real business it takes much planning and preparation beforehand otherwise you're doomed to fail from the start.

Hey, I remember the PM but I lost it somehow. I'm currently finishing up two other skins and then I can get started on others. I have a few ideas for a livery as it is.

Looks very nice, the colours match the theme well. The stats areas are not quite to my taste (I would have them resemble some kind of digital airport screen for arrivals perhaps) but they work. Just waiting on a reply to my prior PM -
Hey, Yeah university started again this week so the work load has increased and reduced time for the hobby. Also I don't seem to have any PMs from you for some reason.

I'm not familiar with kACARS customization (though I plan on getting a custom version) however I think that it could be possible to source aircraft ICAO codes and only display aircraft matching that code for those routes. I have in mind something similar where a route is setup for one or two aircraft types in general and pilots can choose any aircraft provided it meets the requirements for the schedule.

Sounds good to me. Nice to hear VAcentral is growing too, other than a few issues I've had with the live map it's been rather useful in seeing who else is out there.
-
Good scheme indeed on a nice aircraft. Looks better than the standard metroair livery in my opinion.
-
Thanks. I'm getting the hang of working with all the different textures types now. PM sent.

And here is the latest to be completed and my second real-world livery;

Alright here's two examples done for Euroscot/Air Scotland;

It looks to me like you're missing the section on the CSS that specifies how to style that unordered list, given its showing in its standard HTML layout currently. Check what div, id or class the nav bar is allocated to and then make the changes there.

Most likely it is the fuel prices, by default I believe it has live fuel costs, though this function has been broken for years. In mine I found it was charging me $5.10 per lb of fuel instead of $0.80 per lb...bit of a difference.

Greece Airways Virtual Acars System
reachva replied to servetas's topic in Virtual Airlines Discussion
It says on his site if I remember correctly that he will do almost any amount of customization for kACARs if you're willing to pay and wait for it to be developed. I'm planning one myself as well after the new website is done. -

On his website fs-products.net, go to Custom kACARS for more information. -
Only way I know to get navdata is via Navigraph however those are payware and for aircraft only. I use it for my NGX, QW Avro RJ and my WIlco Embraers.

Okay the edit worked, now my fuel prices look more accurate. Now to update all my flight prices to reflect the changes. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, I knew something was wrong when my ATR was consistently earning far more than my 737s. Short routes where fuel burn was low was good but anything over 500nm was bleeding cash. I'm just using real world air fares currently for my routes where they exist or similar fares for the same distance where no real airline flies it. I use the standard fares however and not the discount ones. Shame phpvms doesn't yet recognise ancillary revenue through sales of food and such on board, being an LCC that's where a decent proportion of income should come from.

Alright the liquidunit was already set to 3 in mine though I've made the other changes and things seem to be working. I'll do a trial flight later to see if the fuel price is updated. 5.1 per pound it looks like it was defaulting to. No wonder my finances have been barely scraping into the positive even with artificially high fares.

I'll give that a try and post again if it works or not.

United Airlines Virtual
reachva replied to UnitedAirlinesVirtual's topic in Virtual Airlines Discussion
Usually it means that they have not got their own hosting and/or can mean that there is a chance the VA is not considered permanent. I used my personal hotmail account until I worked out how to set up email accounts, now I have the official email under the reachva domain and my hotmail remains for personal matters. -
Hello all, I have been trying to work out how to change the fuel price from the default 5.1 (excessively high) to 2.94 as it is currently shown at our base airport. I have tried editing the fuel info in the app.config.php file however that removes all of my airlines schedules from the admin center (though they show for pilots in the flight schedule and can still be booked). How else can I go about doing this? I don't know anything about coding beyond basic HTML and CSS so please keep it simple.
