  1. I've never worked with PHP so I'm not sure if this is a viable idea but it would see, you would need to set a query to your flight database to display the days that the flight has been made available. Additional parameters could probably filter the result by the users current day.
  2. Just letting everyone know that this competition is still on. Even non-VA members can submit an entry, just contact me with your entry (on a jetabout 737-700/800 with winglets template) and your name and contact details to recieve full credit and a chance to have your design featured on our next aircraft.
  3. nice video, the choice of music reminds me of a qantaslink short that was made some time ago. May be competitors but always pays to respect the competition. The homepage of the site has a tad too much free space on either side but that is probably down to my monitor size and resolution.
  4. Thanks. I do agree that it looks as nice on the 767 as it does on the 737s. If you want to see more screenshots of the 767 in Reach livery, have a visit over here; http://reachva.com/smf/index.php/topic,223.0.html
  5. Hello all, I've been coming up with airline logos and liveries for a long time as a hobby and decided it would be about time to see if there is any interest from others in doing these for a low price. I started out initially doing just profile drawings (examples available upon request) however I have for the last year been doing textures for FSX aircraft. Aircraft that I have done liveries for in the past. Aircraft marked with an * are preferred aircraft for texturing; - PMDG NGX 700/800 * - PMDG JS4100 - Aerosoft Airbus X/Extended * - Wilco Airbus Series Volume 1 - Just Flight 737-200 - Qualitywings 757 - Qualitywings Avro RJ - Wilco Embraer E Jets series (145, 170, 190) - Project Opensky 737 700/800 - Skyspirit 767-300 * - PAD Dash 8 Q400 - ISDT ATR 72-500 - DA Fokker 100 - Tom Ruth A300 - Tom Ruth A330/A340 - HJG DC-8-61 - Project Tupolev Tu-154B-2 - All default aircraft I am able to do other aircraft as well though the above are the ones I have had experience in. The two I am most experienced working with are the NGX and Airbus X. Working times are quick (usually only a couple days) and prices start at $15.00AUD for a basic livery with pre-existing logo applied though prices can go above this. Skins may cost extra depending on complexity. You can also have your whole fleet skinned at a bonus price if you contact me (basic livery with differing registrations/aircraft names across a fleet group). See below for my expanded price list. Best method to contact me here is via PM or comments. --- PRICE LIST: Well I finally got around to creating a proper price list for my services. Please note that these are a guideline only and are subject to change. I feel the prices are perhaps still on the low end for the time it takes to produce high quality skins and these are my only source of income so it may change. - Logo/Livery design: $15 fixed price - Simple repaint (livery/logo/fonts supplied by commissioner, limited colours and patterns): $15 per aircraft - complex repaints (limited resources supplied, complex liveries with many colours, patterns and curves): $25 per aircraft - VA fleet bonus (common livery for 3 aircraft with differing registrations/names): $40 total - signature images/banners to match livery: $10 for 5 - PSDs supplied with texture: $5 (subject to texture/paintkit copyright protection) --- Examples of my work (see following posts for more); TERMS AND CONDITIONS: - I will only take on commissions for aircraft models that I have in my possession. This is to ensure that I am able to produce the best quality textures I can that are tested in sim to ensure accuracy. - I will not accept commissions for textures that contain nudity, pornographic or otherwise inappropriate or indecent content - I REQUIRE PAYMENTS TO BE MADE UP FRONT, only rare exceptions to this are allowed with appropriate reasoning behind them - I will not do textures for real-world airlines unless the commissioner can prove that they have permission from the real company to be using trademarked logos, colours and fonts - Prices are liable to variation depending on the complexity of the design - No redistribution of my work is permitted beyond the commissioner of the texture and the linked Virtual Airline or person in the case of personal textures unless otherwise agreed upon - Whilst textures are typically delivered within a fortnight of payment being received, some flexibility around this time must be accounted for due to real life commitments and study - ONCE I HAVE STARTED WORK ON YOUR TEXTURES NO REFUNDS ARE AVAILABLE. Be sure you are happy with your quote and have outlined what you want before committing - You must ensure that you provide forms of communication in your order so that I am able to contact you about your commission progress and send developments - If a texture commission for whatever reason is unable to be completed, I will contact you about alternative options - My textures can only be guaranteed to work in FSX. I do not own FS2004 and whilst I can produce FS2004 compatible textures, no testing of these is possible - I reserve the right to reject or decline any commissions that do not meet my above criteria
  6. Caps aside the website looks decent so far. I recommend that you change your page title as currently any window or tab with it open just displays your URL. I'd suggest changing it to the name of your VA and the page, for example for Reach Airways the homepage title displayed is "Welcome - Reach Airways Virtual". ~Adem
  7. Looks quite nice for sure. The graphic on the homepage to my eyes seems a little distracting but other than that you have a solid design.
  8. I am having the same issue to a degree in that my flights do not register on the VA Central live map. The flights however are registered when completed and the PIREP is submitted and it works for most but not all of our pilots. We use the latest version of kACARS which I have updated both the module and clients. As I have said, it is odd that VA Central picks up all our data but only a few of our pilots can see themselves on the live map for VA Central. Our own website based live map showing just our flights works fine.
  9. The way I do it is to simply only load the fuel I'll need for the flight + reserves. That way I'm carrying less weight which means more efficient flight and burning less fuel as well as meaning I don't need to buy as much.
  10. Hmm that actually raises a few questions. I got this site template from here initially (I think it was the Fresh one but I've altered it a fair bit since). I can't remember if the drop down was included with it or not but I haven't purchased it nor was I aware you had to buy it to use. In this case then my best bet would be to replace it with something open source or publically available. Any suggestions?
  11. I have adjusted the board permissions, guests should be able to view the threads now.

    Airline Skin

Interesting skin. I like the overall layout though the width seems a tad squished on some of the pages like the live map with the sidebar.
  13. Yeah that section is. If you are interested in the competition you need to create an account on it. I would make it public but I can't change an individual threads permissions as far as I am aware. I'm fairly new to SMF.
  14. Hello all, I've been reworking the ReachVA website and I've come up with the issue of reskinning the existing drop down menu with styling that would match the existing site colour scheme. I'm familiar with basic HTML and CSS but I can't make sense of this menus particular structure. Its CSS seems all over the place with no comments left to explain what each section does. Any help is most welcome.
  15. G'day all, Reach Airways is currently holding a livery competition for special schemes to be applied to our future fleet including the longhaul division. The winning design(s) as voted will be made by myself into skins usable in flight simulator named after the liveries creator! All resources required will be provided and we accept all entries, even from non-Reach Airways pilots. For more information, see the relevant thread HERE. Also remember to visit our website at http://www.reachva.com
  16. Well it does not show there as a flight done last night appears but in my case I have done 3 flights, not 2 and Oliver has done two flights, not 1. It's only those two flights which it hasn't recorded.
  17. Hello all I recently have formally created my virtual airline Reach Airways Virtual (http://www.reachva.com) and I found I am having issues with PIREPS submitted not counting towards a pilots total flight count. The hours updates (though I had to force it through the maintenance settings in admin centre to refresh them) but the total flight number. For example there is a pilot who as flown a flight and it shows his hours from that flight (2.13 hours) but under his flight number it still reads 0. How can I fix this issue? Using kACARS_free if it helps. Regards, Adem
