  1. Gents, quick question......We have resolved our kacars switch = Verfiy problem last week. But for some reason we are not showing our flights on the VA Central Live map..Pireps are going through, were just not showing up on the map? David
  2. Gents, thank you...........the issue was server and here is what they did to correct....(Powweb.com Tech)I have set the session path in the php.ini file Problem Solved.
  3. No I'm not using a free server.............if I knew just how to present my server host with the appropiate question it would help. I have been back and forth with them and getting no where, but I'm probably presenting them with the wrong information. I do appreciate your feedback.
  4. Gentlemen, I appreciate what your saying but I'm at a total lost. Let me reformulate my comments above. I have 52 active members and their all getting the "Switch=verify error when they try and log onto our custom kacars. But it doesn't end there. When I go into the admin panel, pilots and groups to View all pilots, there is nothing there, But yet their all listed on the pilot page with all their data, hours ranks, pireps et cetera.... When I first open the admin panel these errors our at the bottom of the page. Warning: Unknown: open(/var/php_sessions/sess_b8afdb9fa6a67035945535d67b0660d4, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in Unknown on line 0 Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/var/php_sessions) in Unknown on line 0 When I go to the admin activity log this is what I get: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 44 bytes) in /hermes/web12b/b1562/pow.bluemax/htdocs/phpvms/core/classes/ezdb/ezdb_mysql.class.php on line 273 Warning: Unknown: open(/var/php_sessions/sess_b8afdb9fa6a67035945535d67b0660d4, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in Unknown on line 0 Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/var/php_sessions) in Unknown on line 0 We are approaching our one year aniversary using phpvms and never had an issue such as this. Moving on....I went to my server to view the data base. I have 34 tables, six our empty of data? if you look at the image above you will see what I see. Everything else is intact. I have no clue what to do. A years worth of activity.... I'll give someone my admin access, its a game but a lot has gone into this. This tid bit I pulled off the forum and gave to my server host (Tech) at powweb: Your hosting provider is returning extra data in the xml file. <sitedata><info><loginStatus>0</loginStatus></info></sitedata><!-- www.000webhost.com Analytics Code --><script type="text/javascript" src="http://analytics.hosting24.com/count.php"></script><noscript><a'>http://analytics.hosting24.com/count.php"></script><noscript><a href="http://www.hosting24.com/"><img src="http://analytics.hosting24.com/count.php" alt="web hosting" /></a></noscript><!-- End Of Analytics Code --> David Zaleski www.usavamc.com
  5. Gents, I would not post this if it envolved a single member issue but I have been getting emails from many members all day concerning our custom Kacars. This started today. This is the message they receive when they try to log on to their vamccars Website Warning Encountered Notify system administrator of the switch error. Data not recieved switch = verify I have seen this on an old forum post and a comment was made cocerning server adding stuff to the xml? If it is a server issue I have no clue how to approach them with a question. Getting this message in the admin panel I went to server database and found this (Fields empty Warning: Unknown: open(/var/php_sessions/sess_71f7c3a24628a5a138e890e7395bb1e0, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in Unknown on line 0 Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). 6. Having first dumped the airport data leaving the table empty, I once again attempted to reload the exported airport database. Again it said phpvmsXXXX.Phpvms_XXXXairports already exist. I then dumped the table and when I attempted to upload it said the phpvmsXXXX.Phpvms_XXXXairports doesn't exist. But it did reinstall the table void of the airport data. What am I doing wrong. I followed all the above instruction. What needs to be done to the sql file before I attempt to upload it. I'm sure you people do this all the time. The forum needs a live chat line or something.
  7. Not sure I'm following you........are you saying I have to delete any airports that already exist in the table before I can import a revised table......How does one upload the airport data sql that is present on the forum for download. Am I to understand that the phpvms_airport table needs to complete void of airports before you can import airports?
  8. Gents a question. From the server side I exported my phpvms_(my info)airport database (From table) to have as a backup as I deleted some airports. Had no problem exporting and I did additional deleting airports and decided to import it back into the system via myphpadmin, but everytime I attempt to import it, I get an error message telling me the phpvms_(my info)airports already exist. What am I doing wrong. The phpvms_airports table is setup when you install phpvms?
  9. Gents, I had this issue about a year ago.......my problem was (I use Powweb & iPage) After uploading Via Microsoft Expression FTP I was getting the same message. I had the the default index.html. The problem was my domain wasn't pointing to my phpvms index.php. It was pointing to the index.html. I contacted Powweb. For whatever reason they couldn't get the domain to point to the correct files in phpvms. I finally just made a lead in to the site using the index.html changed it to .htm. I never did get a resolve for this but we use the lead in to house a video.
  10. Gents, I realize there is a thread on this somewhere, but I can't find it. We run a Air Force VA and it involves a lot of ribbons and medals. Presently they are displayed vertically and its like reading a scroll. Someone had a script for displaying horizontally in rows with x-amount per row. Can I be pointed to that thread....sorry...I looked all over. I stumbled on it once and have not been able to re-locate it.
  11. First let me respond to Kyle's Comment.....I'm not impatient! I posted Monday morning, when I got home from work at 0100 EDST (Tuesday morning) my post was already off the page with no response. As for the version, (Version 2.1.934) If this was corrected, my copy never got the message *grin* Sorry. I don't no squat about php but if pointed in the right direction I can make coarse corrections. I do machine programming, but this is a different world than machine code. David
  12. I'll try this again, this is a help forum, yes?
  13. We have a couple inactive members. Local.config is set to default 90 days or we can manually place a member inactive. Problem is in the admin panel we show active and inactive members with the same count. When staff emails to active members only the inactive members receive the emails. Also it is my understanding that members, in our case if they don't file a report in 90 days, they should automatically go inactive. This has never worked. 30 - 60 - 90 days doesn't make any difference, system is not detecting this and it is becoming a problem with inactive members who receive emails. Don't want to loose their stats by deleting them totally.
  14. Gents, I created my own phpvms promo logo on my site linking to the phpvms website......if it is not acceptable please let me know and I'll remove it. www.usavamc.com/phpvms/
  15. For sever days we have had a pilot icon that won't clear. He is running Windows seven and this was his first flight. Had an issue and closed down but his aircraft Icon is locked om the map over W' Africa and his flight was a test flight from KDOV to KDOV (Charter) Data for airports is in the datbase. Done everything to clear it.
  16. Here is an update. Apparently I have and IT specialist who thrives (Runs his own server, he also provided us with a secondary TS3 with 100 slots beside the ten slot TS3 we had, and a multiplay server) on php who is going to help us isolate this issue, it turns out from a conversation I had with the staff, this is happening when these guys are in flight and VA Central does its migration and update. My man noticed a 60 second delay in the code for that migration of data. He is dissecting a copy of phpvms on his server and we will get you constructive information ASAP. He is going to develop pages we can use for our program. We are a military (Air Force VA) and this (Phpvms) is developed for a standard VA. Our awards and medals are geting out of hand, far mare than you have in a standard VA. So he is working to expand the code to allows us features not found in a commercial airline VA.
  17. Good suggestion if you use charter flights and we use it exclusively, be sure you have an airport database. In other words you need the airports you depart from and arrive at in the system or your map will have you taking a very long route for a very short flight. Its easer to add airports in the admin than adding schedules.
  18. We are working on getting solid stats as the number of filed pireps per member having this issue varies. Whatever is going on as indicated will revert to their transfer flight count they started with back in July 2010.
  19. Nabeel, thank you. I knew I wasn't going crazy. We are ranked 24 at VA Central and we are not going to progress much higher as we don't have the kind of pilot base (Active) that most of the larger players above us have. We were just shooting for the second award. Anyway, this information should have been integrated into the admin panel. We are already paying the price for re-using deleted pilot ID's, Very bad move, but at the time we didn't know the consequences of re-using them (Posted in another forum topic). I'm reading the above comments about the practice of doing this knowing that if you have 200 pilots & pilot 150 is deleted and you reuse that ID it makes no difference as the next new registry will be pilot ID 201. I'm reading the comments about deleting pilots doesn't delete his contribution to the VA, it does. One of the issues that has cropped up with us, is we assigned 7 transfer pilots from our old static site last July, ID's that were used for testing. There is no issue with their transfer hours or any pireps they have accumulated since but the transfer flight count after x-number of pireps they file will revert to the original transfer hours. These are re-used ID's only, do not have any issues with anyone else in the program. I appreciate you clearing this up for me and I'm sure others who read this. David Zaleski www.usavamc.com/phpvms
  20. Disagree with what? The bottom line is we lost close to 1000 hours....period, including a host of flights and pirep's. I keep records of the stats because the weekly reports don't include the hours. Friday evening we were as I indicated just short of 10,000 hours. After the delete we dropped to 8900 in change. So you can spin this however....it is what it is. I don't make this stuff up.
  21. This past weekend, I had a very rude awakening over deleting pilots and VA Central. I'm aware, when you delete a member his stats are lost and if he rejoins he has to start from scratch. What I wasn't aware of is his contribution to the VA is deleted from the data base. If I had kept all the inactive members we would have 123 man roster. We have found out the system doesn't delete anyone, Ours is preset from the beginning at 90 days but it has never dropped a single inactive member so we have to do this manually. This past Friday we were less than 100 hours to role over 10,000 hours and our second award. Sunday evening I went through the roster and removed 15 inactive members only to find out at VA Central we lost over 1000 hours, a host of flights and pireps.........this freaked me out. This tells me that if you want to maintain your rating at VA Central, Don't delete inactive members????? This tells me that VA Central isn't an honest reflection of a VA's progression as members who use phpvms who are aware of this, keep their dead wood to keep their rating. www.usavamc.com/phpvms
  22. Just an update on the flight tracking. It appears the guys who are having an issue with their total flight count resetting, happens after they fly anywhere from five to seven flights....this has me feaked out. Same guys every time. As for your comment above, I'm not sure what you mean, and wouldn't know where to change it or enable it, unless its in the admin panel....no nothing on code. Don't have you guys wisdom and knowledge in code or php....sorry. Another update, these people are those that transfered from our old static site and transfering the hours and total flights. What happens is the total flights are resetting to the original transfer flights. This only effecting about half of the dozen our so that moved to the new phpvms site.
  23. Ok, the strang thing is we are not loosing the pireps, just the total flight count. Evrything is working just fine it is just these 7 or eight pilots who's total counts are being reset every 7 days. My staff is monitoring the situation in an attempt to see just what is happening when it happens....I'll keep you posted.
  24. Hi Nabeel, I have a 62 man roster as of this weekend. The one issue we have is with eight members (Original)their total flight counts reset to default every seven days. The only reason I can come up with for this kink, is at the beginning of converting to Phpvms after testing, I reassigned them (The eight members) ID's that were used during testing and the test pilots were deleted. Since then we have not reassigned ID for deleted pilots. It makes for a messy ID structure, but then not having the ability to delete aircraft, or routes no longer used make things messy. But its a small issue compared to what phpvms has to offer, so we work around problems when they crop up.
