Administrators simpilot Posted December 17, 2009 Administrators Report Posted December 17, 2009 I am nearly done coding an internal forum board system that runs within phpVMS but had something cross my mind about it. I have designed it that only members of the airline can post in it, does anyone allow non-pilots to post in their forum boards, is this option needed? Quote
Administrators Nabeel Posted December 17, 2009 Administrators Report Posted December 17, 2009 I personally would say don't allow non-airline users. Opens up the possibility for spam and other problems Quote
smoke2312 Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 Yes this is nice, and I say don't allow none airline members to post anything. Like the use stated above it will just open the door for problems. Quote
Administrators simpilot Posted December 18, 2009 Author Administrators Report Posted December 18, 2009 Good, it lloks like everyone thinks the same as I on the guest posting. I have an early version running on my development site and am planning on cleaning up the code and getting all the functions configured over the weekend, hopefully will have a beta release by the first of the week. TAV1702 Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 This would be great! A full VA script with forum, airmail, exam center............ Now that would be a package. ;D Quote
flyalaska Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Would we be able to transfer our currant board post to the new board? Quote
Administrators simpilot Posted December 22, 2009 Author Administrators Report Posted December 22, 2009 Would we be able to transfer our currant board post to the new board? I have not designed the db tables to match any other forum - you could do it with a lot of editing... Quote
llju1 Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 Is there a code to that will integrate it on the front page, sort of like the News or Recent reports. I know it is probably very easy but I am at a lose at the moment. ;D . suck getting old and forget the simple stuff. Thanks Quote
