vincent Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Hi I know this topic may have been already discussed. However, I am still having trouble reducing the pilot ID's from 4 0's to 3.... I've used phpVMS before and had successfully done this in the past. I've followed the instructions on the other post about this, but it still has 4 zeros.. I have the latest version installed. Please help.... Quote
Administrators Nabeel Posted May 28, 2010 Administrators Report Posted May 28, 2010 In the local.config.php file there's a parameter for the pilot ID length Quote
vincent Posted May 28, 2010 Author Report Posted May 28, 2010 In the local.config.php file there's a parameter for the pilot ID length thanks, Nabeel.... Next questions.. I see that there is not a way to put the Google API key through the admin center.... is there any work around through this? also is it possible to change the login method, to where instead of entering the email address as the username, the pilot id would be the username? thanks Quote
Administrators simpilot Posted May 29, 2010 Administrators Report Posted May 29, 2010 You do not need a map key in ver 2.1 The login module is already set to accept a pilot id as a login - ex - ABC1234 Quote

Administrators simpilot Posted May 29, 2010 Administrators Report Posted May 29, 2010 Looks like an older template maybe with 2.1 phpVMS.... What version phpVMS are you running? Looks like a modified Clowdy skin, which was designed for 1.0. You will have to update some of the tpl files in the skin if this is the case. Quote

TennShadow Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 can you provide help with how to update the tpl files? where do i get them? The current .tpl files are in Core/Templates You will need to replace some of the skin files in your Skins folder in order to get it working correctly. Any modifications will have to be reapplied on the new template files. Quote

vincent Posted May 29, 2010 Author Report Posted May 29, 2010 ok but what do i change in the coding? and what do i put? also is there an easy way to put all airports at once rather than manually putting them in? Quote
TennShadow Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 also is there an easy way to put all airports at once rather than manually putting them in? You can just replace the whole file. Open up the skins folder in one window and the Core/Templates folder in another. You then can replace the files in the skins folder with the newest version in Core/templates. Quote

Curshad Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 Sorry to reopen this topic. But can Someone tell me how do i set my Pilot I.D. number back to it was. here's what I'm asking to be more clearer a pilot signs up for my VA as SBM230 and another as SBM231 but the pilot who is SBM231 wants his I.D. to be SBM5043. (i went ahead and change it) Now every other pilot that signs up is going to be after SBM5043 (e.g. a new pilot signs up and its SBM5044) How do i reset it so it follows from SBM230 if that makes sence. Thanks guys i would really appreciate your help. Quote
Sava Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 It auto increments from the last pilotid in the _pilots table. It's a thing with phpVMS that it doesn't have a separate id and pilotid column. I always wanted to separate those two, but never got the time. Quote
