Administrators Nabeel Posted August 19, 2010 Administrators Report Posted August 19, 2010 vaCentral/phpVMS now have an official FSHost server, kindly provided by Mark Grant of easyJet VA. The hostname is "fshost.vacentral.net", and the IP address can be got from the vaCentral homepage at http://www.vacentral.net. Your VA is welcome to fly, along with the over 200 airlines which are currently participating in vaCentral. Hope to see you online! 2 Quote
Moderators Kyle Posted August 19, 2010 Moderators Report Posted August 19, 2010 I'll be on 24/7 possible. Keep your eyes out for a WestJet 737-700 flying around Canada. I hate to see this server to be a waste for no one to come in. That's why it's there for us to use it. Quote

Moderators mark1million Posted August 21, 2010 Moderators Report Posted August 21, 2010 its not possible to login, what is the password and what is the username and how would I place the server status on? Hi what are you trying to login to? To connect to the server just open up your flight sim and go to the multiplayer section and type in the ipaddress of the server and connect, no passwords are required. If you want to display the server ipaddress connection details on your website then just add the server status as an i frame to any page you want it displayed. Link is here, http://fshost.vacentral.net:82/user300.html <iframe src="http://fshost.vacentral.net:82/user300.html" width="200" height="250" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" hspace="0" vspace="0" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe> Hope that helps. TimoDD Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 Sorry, but I have no luck, it would not work for me. Is this through the way of 'Internet(Gamespy)' or 'Local network (LAN)' and what are the further steps. Is it possible to explain it step by step with possibly any pictures, a kind of tutorial. It would probably help many of us to find the way to this great opportunity. Thanks in advance Quote
Moderators mark1million Posted September 6, 2010 Moderators Report Posted September 6, 2010 HI you connect via LAN, all you need to do is type in the ipaddress of the server and make sure you are using the default ports 23456, also make sure that your routers ports are open to these ports. In fs9 go to multiplater then open multiplayer session, check the ipaddress at http://vacentral.net and type that in to the ipaddress box, hit search then join when the server appears in the box. If you cant find the server then check your ports. If you are using fsx you can type the full url name in to the address box ie, fshost.vacentral.net and this will connect, you do need an extra bit of software for fsx if i remember correctly this can be downloaded from here. More information can be found below, http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/?fshostclient.html http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/multiplayer.html Quote
TimoDD Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 Hey, thx for the help with that proggie and advice. Now perfect connection by that extra programm. It is possibly my router or FSX that this blocks. See you soon there on the air, thx. Timo Quote
Moderators mark1million Posted February 16, 2011 Moderators Report Posted February 16, 2011 Hey Guys, I have been meaning to update this thread for a while now but never got round to it, I am led to believe that the FS Inn server software is far more superior than the FS Host server, so i have also installed an fsd host server like what is used on the Vatsim network. Its free to use as you wish for you and your VA, I know some of you are quite regular users of the existing one. The connection details are exactly the same as the previous server however because your now using FS Inn client to connect all you need to do is copy the settings below from the attached image which are, ID = phpvms Password = 222222 Server= fshost.vacentral.net (No more looking up the IP Address ) To summarise, Connection settings above and client software required is FS Inn Client and FSCopilot which are free from the link below, works with FS9 and FSX. http://flightsim.apollo3.com/files/fs-files.html Look for SetupFSInn13.exe and SetupFSCopilot17.exe Let me know how you guys get on, maybe i can hook it up to my ts server so you can have voice, something to think about. Administrators Nabeel Posted February 16, 2011 Author Administrators Report Posted February 16, 2011 Mark, I forget, was this the same one advertised on VACentral? Is there anything I need to update for that? Quote
Moderators mark1million Posted February 16, 2011 Moderators Report Posted February 16, 2011 Hi Nabeel, no all remains the same im currently running two servers on the same ipaddress, fshost server and the new fsd server which supports fsinn, both are active and will remain so, just the FS Inn server is more up to date and faster with formation flying and with framerates. flyalaska Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 The server has been down a few says now. Quote
Moderators mark1million Posted March 20, 2011 Moderators Report Posted March 20, 2011 Was not aware, pings are still being returned, let me get the hammer to it Quote
Moderators mark1million Posted March 20, 2011 Moderators Report Posted March 20, 2011 I have just tried connecting to the fsinn server and the fshost server, both are working OK. Quote
Moderators mark1million Posted April 2, 2011 Moderators Report Posted April 2, 2011 Hey guys, With the addition of the fsd server i have enabled voice in to the network using teamspeak2, why ts2 i hear you ask? Because its only ts2 that is compatible currently with FS Inn..... So all you pilots who use FS Inn can now configure the connection to use voice over the network if you use the server for your flights or events. If you want specific frequencies created then just let me know and i will create them for you. I have introduced a Unicom channel for my guys when they are connected to Vatsim and they are switched back to Unicom, then then automatically connect after switching their Com1 frequency to 122.8 to the easyJet Teamspeak channel, when they are requested to contact another controller they leave the channel and move over to live atc, this seems to be very popular especially when everything is controlled through through your flight sim. So for connection details you use FSInn to connect to the server, the address is the same as previous, the ts channel is also the same url, i will post a screen shot of the settings shortly. Here are the settings, The only other setting you may need is to tell FSFDT where your teamspeak is installed, Go to FSFDT control panel (in your taskbar by the clock) Go to the Voice tab and put in your teamspeak 2 path so most users will have it installed in C:\Program Files\Teamspeak2_RC2 Quote
MrAmsterdam Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 Hey guys, I have got the server status and the part where you can see how many people are online, on my website. Is it possible to change the background color of that screen? Now it's white... Regards Lucas Quote
