Hi all, A question which I am sure has been asked and answered but here goes..... How do all you fellow VA owners attract pilots My VA angelair currently has 9 pilots which I would like to increase of course. where do you go to advertise? are VA's in alliance with each other which helps? or is my website not up to scratch if not what do I need to change to make it more attractive? thanks Scott

Hi Guys, I have built a flightplan parser that does all sorts of things including reading airways and breaking them up into their constituent waypoints. To do this it directly references the X-Plane waypoint databases. Must easier than sending tons of queries to MySQL. Now I have it all working in parser.php but want to include it into a template file so that it neatly fits into my VA site. The database file's don't seem to be found even when i reference them with i.e. 'http://www.vasite.com/files/waypoints.idx' Basically how do I integrate the stuff I have into the Codon interface? Hey Guys, I'm in the process of finalising my site and operations, (www.aura-airlines.com) but I have a question about ticket prices for schedules. I've flown two test flights and suddenly my VA has got £16M in the bank ;D as much as I wouldnt mind my personal bank account to reflect this sort of amount, It seems I may have set my ticket prices a tad high. Can anyone advise what an average ticket price would be? My airline is based around Specialist Charters to parts of the Globe that are considered generally highly dangerous flying areas/airports. I noticed that there is an embedded METAR in the pilot brief page, and would like to be able to do this on another website (i.e. not phpVMS), but I can't find the code to do it. How is it embedded, and does it use PHP or JavaScript?

Hi Guys, As of today, I am having to close simual.com. Because of my incident, I haven't been able to work on the site very fast, And my staff team could not understand that, So they said they are going to kick me out. So i denied that and they are starting up their own SimUAL, Any know I own the content and the site. So they said they can steal all the content and site the any know i'm the creator. Hello Everyone,After much discussion and overview of this fantastic project I will make it public that Northeast officially announces the use of PHPVMS. We will pick it up on its scheduled release date of August 9, 2008, and plan to have systems up and running by January due to a hectic schedule for the administration. I would like to say personally to Nabeel, Thank you fro working very hard on this project and making it free and open source to develop on. hello nabeel before we found phpvms we have tride many logsytems for our airline. on we have used and was build in in our own vms likwise software was xacars www.xacars.net maby something for the future to implement into phpvms and the nice part of this tracking software is ist alsow compatible with xplane. gr joeri

When you add/edit an aircraft, it has spaces for links to images and downloads. Where would you see the image or find the download link on the site if you were a pilot?

I noticed something today, and thought I'd come to the forum here and see if anyone else had brought it up and maybe shared a few good laughs with everyone else, but I couldn't find anything. I like the randomly generated Airplane! quotes in the Admin footer. Very clever easter egg I wouldn't have noticed if my Internet connection wouldn't have hit a snag and stuck with the footer in my face.

Thanks Nabeel, you are indeed a good man. Are you a teacher? I ask because you bring out the best qualities of an educator. If you don’t mind a bunch of what might seem to you like really dumb questions, then I want to use your administrator. Here is a good one to start off with. When I down load your virtual airline administrator I am assuming I am getting an operating platform that is more or less a template that runs a VA; is that correct? Hey guys, I'm having problems with my ATI Radeon 2600HD, it's been messing up my FS. Every time i play FS, my video card dies and recovers it good. It's bothering me for a while and I'm feel like i will break my video card in half . So can anyone recommend me a good one for FS2004? and will never die again. I'll will have to upgrade my power supply though but i'm looking for a 1000 WATT one.

We have numerous flights in our database. The flight numbers are generated by us, but occasionally a pilot may want to fly a trip using an historical timetable. How can he submit a pirep using a flight number that may not be in my database? Is it possible? Thanks!

On our home page I switched to FS Pilot Shop Advertising. Problem is that the ads are bigger than the square they're supposed to fit in. Okay this is going mostly to Nabeel but also to all the others, providing this project with new addons.. Id like to thank everybody for what they did and for what will come.. When i started my virtual airline Pan American Airways, i had to decide what to use. It took me some days to figure out, that there arent lot of such systems. Finally i had the choice between vabase and phpvms. Now I was one of those guys who thought that payware is always better and so i bought vabase. Hi Guys, Just incase any of you haven't heard, AVSIM was recently taken down by hackers, which in effect destroyed their complete forum, and downloads databases. These guys have been running for 13 years now.
