I would like to formally announce a 'new' virtual airline: Transamericana Aerolinea Virtual ("TAV"). Online for 13 months, we (loosely) approximate a large Latin American commercial carrier (such as TACA/Avianca or Lan Chile) in that our primary service area is in Central and South America, with routes to North America, Europe, and into and across the Pacific. Our core service area includes all three of the world's three highest International Airports serving National Capitals (SLLP is >13000' MSL!) as well as airports on the sides of mountains and at the bottoms of canyons (both types with limited maneuvering space), and remote dirt bush strips in the Amazon Basin -…

Hello. I am planning and designing a new VA based on helicopters and smaller aircraft. Are there people here interested in helping and maybe have some good ideas for operations? At this moment I am planning on serving the oil platforms in the north sea. But I need some experience in Alaska and Canada. Kind regards. Rick

TexAir Virtual Airlines is focused on simulating an imagined world-class, legacy-style air carrier rooted deeply in its Texas heritage. We are a friendly, family-like gathering of virtual aviators intent on keeping things relaxed, but also realistic. We are pilot-centric in that we prefer not to simulate the 'corporate' side of an airline, focusing only on the daily operation itself. Lastly, our growth is entirely dependent on pilot interest and contributions. We do not grow unless our community of pilots wants us to grow, by growing itself and showing genuine interest. http://www.texairvirtual.org

This month’s challenge is to forget the FMC, forget looking out the window (other than to enjoy the scenery) and close the GPS and navigate via your aircraft’s instruments by dialing up a VOR and set course towards it & track NDBs. Your welcome to hand fly or use the autopilot to track the radios, but the challenge here is to manually set the radios. Don’t let the GPS or flight planning software run the show. A tutorial on how to navigate VORs is available by clicking the Navigating VORs link via the Training menu on our web site. Starting at Daytona Beach (KDAB), you will navigate down the east coast of Florida making your way to in to the Key’s and landing…

I thought because i if theres alot of VA's coming here and this is one of the places that has the different acars things maybe i dont have to post at a lot of forums over an over. Early this morning i just finshed a flight with SWA virtual. I went to hit file pirep on XACARS and it gave me a protocol issue, i thought alot of issues might be the reason that i got that, but in fact i took a few moments to go through the program and low and behold there was a space between the start of the text box and the text that i had entered/copied. this applies to literally all acars for flightsim, it wont let you file a pirep untill you leave no space in between what i just said... …

Hi Ive just bought my Airline from fsairlines.net over to phpvms. The reason being having learnt the basics of php and css i felt displaying the data myself better than using standard Integration kits or XML parsing. My site is still under-construction but was wanting some feedback. I am aware i need to adjust some of the .tpl files that dont come with the template but this is what ive arrived at so far. Thanks for comments, constructive, postitive or negative Imagine Airways homepage Steve CEO Imagine Airways
