Maybe someone can see if I missed anything. It isn't unheard of that I see what I think sould be there instead of what really is there.

My guess is that it won't show you on the map because you are encountering the same server timeout. Who is your host?

Exactly what I'm getting.

I'm not sure what server is used to find airports, but when I enter KLUF, I should get Luke Air Force Base (IATA: LUF, ICAO: KLUF) Glendale, AZ. Instead I get a reference to Litchfield Airport which could conceivably refer to a defunct Litchfield NAS or Litchfield Municipal Airport (ICAO: KLJF. Any thoughts?

Thanks. I must need my brain overhauled. This is where I hit a stone wall: I can't send a PIREP, either. I get a server timeout message. I will recheck my settings and see if I did something even more dumb than usual.

I have FSFK working very nicely, locally. The ACARS gauge is cool. I have my va-template in the correct directory, but need to know what I must do next to get it to work with phpVMS. I've looked at the other threads on fsfk, but haven't quite figured it out. Sorry, I'm having another dumb day.

I've never had to do a recalculate distances, but occasionally have had to reset the signatures to get them updated instantly. The information in the sigs will eventually update on their own. I'm not an expert in php/MySQL, but perhaps one will answer this question.

Finally got it working, though I haven't had a chance to test its uploading PIREPS, yet. It's handy to have 2 monitors, so I can keep an eye on how it is working.

Just checked in the pilot center, as well. If you edit anything, the dropdowns default to the first value. So, if you only want to edit one thing and don't notice it, you wind up changing all the dropdown values

I believe I saw it on the admin side, but haven't had a chance to follow up on it. Spent most of the day putting a new monitor in place and setting up the old one as a second monitor.

Someone who has added some additional fields to their PIREPs in dropdown format needs to see if what I've observed happens to them. Select a PIREP where any of the dropdown entries are other than the 1st entry in the dropdown. Go to edit the PIREP and see if it hasn't reverted to the first selection. For example, I have a field for flight conditions, IFR,VFR,MVFR. If I enter VFR when filing it, the information is correct, but if I edit it, the field has reverted to IFR so when I save the edited PIREP, it says IFR even if I was only editing another part of the PIREP.

It's on the backburner for now. I just bought a new monitor and don't really want to spend more cash at the moment. Truth be told, I don't really need all that FSFK offers. I already know how badly I fly. ;D Now, I'm looking at XAcars, which looks good, despite deplorable documentation.

I tried it, but for some reason, it wouldn't launch when FSX did and wound up crashing FSX. I uninstalled it and found something I liked even less. The uninstallation failed to remove the launch code from FSUIPC's configuration. I had to manually edit the file.

I have a trial key for it. If it turns out to be problem free, I'll probably buy it.

Oooh, pretty! Now for the question. does it keep that type of record for all your flights or does it do the same thing FS Passengers does, and only keep that level of detail for your last flight?

So, FSACARS can work with the live map, but has no real flight data to provide, FSPax can provide data, but doesn't provide info for the map, and FSFK provides both.
