Nice to see you back in action Nabeel. Hope all is well on your end.

Oh I really do understand. I am loaded right now. I just started back to school yet again and am working on opening up a new business. Permits, licenses, insurance, etc etc..... good times! Very trying times for me to say the least. So trying I have not flown a flight in a month or more and even got retired from my own va website.

This has been done before but long ago. The module is well outdated by now if even available anymore. I know dev stopped on it for a reason, just not sure why to be honest. The other option is to use the pay forum module that one of the guys here on site has developed or use SMF and their API hook. Dave (Simpilot) has a thread about it in his forum section of this site.

Try to escape the apostrophe?

Hello fellas! Hope the skies are blue and the winds are fair! Have not had much of an opportunity to get on lately and do any web work or flying for that matter. I hope to change that soon as soon as I get the college schedule worked out and in action. Being 44 and going to school kind of sucks lol Anyhow, hope all is well and I can not wait for phpVMS 3 to come out. I am looking forward to seeing some awesome VA websites when it does come out. Take fellas and keep the blue side up! Ray

Sorry man. I actually have nothing to day today. Let me see if I can dig something up for you today. How confident are you in adding to your css files and php files? That is the first thing I might need to know so I can tell you how to do it.
-
I sure will try my best to help if able. In the mean time would seek an alternative just in case. I have been swamped since we talked on here last and its not looking good for the rest of this week for me at bare minimum. Good for the bank account but nothing else. I'll try to dig up some code and share it before tomorrow afternoon and see if it works for you if you have not already fixed the width issue.
-
yep, that is correct. use the link I provided and you should be good to go. You don't need that extra page created in the admin panel And if we can, we need to set you up with a div for your page and css to limit the width. as it is now that page goes coast to coast.

As far as skinning the dropdowns and what nots go, that you may need to head over to the skinning threads and ask there. I actually did not create this module. All I did was tweak it some and make it work. I just wish to make the mail function better but with phpVMS 3 coming out, there is no point in modifying this module any more really. I can try to help with drop downs. Can not make any guarantees or promises.

Ohh ok I see. that is an easy fix. The link in the menu is wrong. it is heading to pages/staffapplication. that is a addon page created in the acp. We really dont need to do that. That essentially trumps the module itself. it needs to be pointed something like this: <a href="<?php echo url('/Application'); ?>">Application</a> Obviously the word Application After the link an d before the close can be anything from application, pilot application, employment etc etc

I'll go take a look as well and see if I can see anything. be right back

Hey chief, I am having an issue following where this might be. I sincerely apologize. I can never see the big picture in life. If you can, create a demo account and PM me login details so I can see it in action. Once I see it, I can surely tell you how to fix it. I got some rare down time so the sooner you can hit me with the info the sooner I can get on it for you. I would like to help resolve. Here is a screenshot of mine in action. I click the link to go to the application and there is nothing in between the link and the app. Everything above the application can easily be removed. As you can se, mine looks nothing like yours does I don't think , is why I am a bit confused. So please do PM me a login detail of a demo account so I can give it a look and see what is going on. Have a great night. Ray

By looking at this image, I have no clue where to even look. The image is very large and vague. Any chance you can show me a shot of the entire page? Obscure the personal info if any if you so choose. My apologies on this chief. I just can not figure out where this is located. I am looking at my website now for reference. And yeah, ti takes me forever to reply now days. Kids and life has me so dang busy I got retired from my own VA website.
-
If that was not it, please explain to me click by click what you are referring to. Take care! Ray
-
Are you referring to the area I circled in red? I didnt think I included that in the module. if that is infact it, you will need to remove the text in the .php file in the skins folder. I am sorry I can not go look right now. Was just stopping by for a quick look and then gone again. Let me know if this is it. I will try to stop back by tonight or tomorrow and see if you replied.
-
Sorry for so long between replies. I have been majorly busy lately. No time for VA stuff sadly enough. I am trying to follow what you are asking but not sure if I know for certain what you are asking for. Can you explain in further details?
-
You are more than welcome to look in the Skins Releases thread and browse through there and find a free released template for your airline. People also do custom work for a nominal fee if that service is needed. So you can see you have a couple options to choose from. Take care and I hope you build a nice airline!

I suppose I could see where it would be nice for Euro users. However, there is no way for the author to know exactly where to link to cookies policy page or terms of use page or what ever page a VA owner may have chosen to use as their cookie policy information page. Most free scripts on the open market ask for a link to this page for a reason. Realistically, what good does it do you to warn me that your site uses cookies if you don't give me a link to the page to view the terms of the cookie use on your site. With no page to view, I have no choice but to leave your site because I am not familiar with your terms. Or I have to search your site to find the page, click the link, etc etc. Just my 2 cents worth of thought that probably is not even worth 1 cent. Take care.

Should be in the core/templates/application folder or something like that. it is the 2 php files in that folder, I believe. I have not looked at this file in a month or so at least. Try that and in the mean time I will go look at my files **EDIT** Wait, are you trying to get the link to show up in the site navigation? Is that what you are trying to do? If so that is in core/templates/core_navigation.php
-
I kind of thought that what we were looking at. VAM pulled this off and it works a treat. I wonder if it is because of the way he coded SimACARS. I have no idea. What I don't know about that stuff will fill a dictionary. Thanks for the reply Dave. I appreciate it. Ray

I posted this in the older phpVMS thread. It would be sweet if we can connect flights using the same flight number. For example, Sun Country does a flight to PANC but stops as KSEA and continues on under the same number.... or did. I have not looked lately. The fatal TWA Flight 800 was a trip to Rome leaving new york but had a layover in between and carrying on to Rome under the 800 flight number. The way it is now, we have to screw schedules completely up and make up random numbers. I know it is possible to do. I ahve a VAM site setup and running and it works there fine. hoping we can do the same here.
-
yeah this is needed. I tried to run a site through ssl just recently and it was nothing short of a total disaster.
-
It is real late my time tonight and I cant sleep, but I will take a look at this tomorrow if you stil have issues. I cant guarantee I can fix it but will take a look. This is a nice template, but it is a mess. I like the concept of it.
-
Parkho beat me to it. That is how I would do it as well. Just adjust it via the config file.
-
I have to agree with Keith. If you avoid the program files you will avoid 95% if not all of the permissions issues with windows. All 3 of my flight simulators are installed ia folder with the respective name in the C:/ drive. NOT in program files.
