Hi Dave. Quick question for you if I may. I edited the mail_sentitems.tpl file. I wanted it to NOT show the message sent and instead make the subject line a link to the message. I got the subject to work as a message, but every time I go to click on the subject as a link, it tells Me that I can not view someone else's mail. I am not sure what code I need to include and where at to view it that way. The issue I was having that prompted me to try this method was, some posts are extremely long and that page is WAY long. And with it bunching the entire message up on the right side of the page was making it REALLY long too. I thought of trying to format the page like a forum post where it shows all the important info on the left and the post on the right, but struck out there too. I had errors flying all over the place. I personally never look at the sent items folder, but I began catching hell about it from other pilots. I am sure it is a simple fix and I am just being to dam blonde to figure it out. I been at it about 4 days now. I figured I might finally ask about it. I try until my hair gets ripped out before I ask. Thanks for the read. Ray **EDIT** On second thought, I now know why it is doing that and it most likely is not going to work the way I need it to. I will just have to re skin the table to mimic a forum looking post. That should solve the long drawn out page.

I added a expense, and that error has never came back again.

It's me again Margaret! I think it would be mighty nifty if we could do and advanced search for schedules by the type like a charter, cargo or passenger. If we can already, my apologies for missing it. As well, I would be REAL interested in the schedule briefing to show how much money per flight they are going to make if it is a pay per flight. If not maybe it could catch their rank and show how much an hour. And if it would show the type of flight it is such as charter, cargo , or passenger.

Well, you could just make it look kind of blocky and use color in the css or you can use the new rounded corners stuff in the css and use an image but I have never done that yet. Hopefully a pro will chime in here and lead you down the right path. I am still doing things the old fashioned way. I'm sorry I can be of no better assistance to you on this one. The last time I did it to a template, Simpilot helped me out and that has been some time back now.

I was looking at VA reports and I noticed that it says to use % for wildcard. Can anyone tell me what this does and how to use it? I tried a couple different things and it tossed errors all over the place at me. Thanks. Ray

The ability to use this in Simpilot and Toms VA Forum would be great. Easily done?

Hey Tom, I was curious about something so I went ahead today and tried out the bbcode and all and it works good. However, a big image busts up the template pretty bad. Where might we find the place to limit the height and width of an image linked in a post? If there is not a place to edit, could there be one easily added? Say someone has an image that is 1024x768. I can tell you with certainty, that will bust my template. If said image was resized to say 800x600 or so I would be good to go. Thanks, Ray

Hi Scott. Thanks for that link. I will have a look. And you have the right to use any addon as you choose really as far as modifications go. BUT I do not think that you can offer the download on your site or alter it and then offer it as a dload either. I know not a single module I have now is default. I modify the hell right out of everything I have. Now various authors use various different licenses. It is up to the end user to read and understand said license before using.

You need to get in to you css file and create them. I can not give code since I have not even done mine yet. I am going to eventually, just have not got around to it yet.

Thanks for posting the code. My apologies for not coming back and saying that I got it working. And as far as the side area goes, it is located inside the layout.tpl file. Look for a comment line that says sidearea starts here and another one that says side area ends here.

It would be great to have a regular editor with full function, but the last one we found to use in the forum gave a nice opening for hackers. Someone recently posted another text editor, but I am not sure of it's status. And it is not the fact that they can not get their heads around code so much as having to have them upload to photobucket then place the bbcode on site etc etc. It would be much easier to load an image as an attachment and it shows up in the post kind of like the screenshot gallery does, but it would not need admin approval.

1 major hurdle that I need to overcome is the need to attach images to forum posts without a user having to use code. I have some users on my test site that do not know a stitch of code and to try to teach them to use code in the forum is kind of like trying to teach a baby not to crap in it's diaper.

Yeah your right. lol It is a bit more advanced to say the least. It works now the way it is just fine. I guess that is kind of a dear santa claus this is my wish type of thing more than anything.

Yeah you can do the same thing with your other file as well Scott. It is the same thing, The image I gave was the one I use in the get topics for posting a new post. Then I have another one that I use in the forum thread itself for posting a reply. @Tom Yeah I think you got me. Say for example I have 4 different divisions in my airline. North America, Aero, Etc, etc Then in my forums I would add those categories, and then inside each one of those categories, I could add a category for each hub in that Division that way they have their own thread to mess around in. Not exactly sure how easy that would be to do though. Might be like trying to reinvent the wheel.

I can't seem to get it to work. I placed that info in the hubstats and then placed the call in the tpl file and nothing is coming up. I am 100% sure it is not the code....It is the end user as usual.

Where does this little ditty of code go? I am looking at it but not sure where to place it and when I do how to call it on a tpl file to show info. This is very interesting to say the least.

Well, I suppose it needs to be able to send out dividends at least once a year, or make it so an admin can do it manually maybe. I think the price would need to fluctuate in accordance with how many pireps are being filed per day and all that kind of good stuff. Active pilots verses inactive pilots could possibly play a role in it maybe. It would need to be auto though so no admin input is necessary. It would need to fluctuate on its own so there is no bias from admin. And admin could easily keep raising the prices. I am not sure how the whole VA stock market thing works, but I am sure it should be somewhat of what I attempted to explain. Oh and another issue is making it so if a pilot buys stock, he or she does not get money back if everything is recalculated in the admin panel. They would need to be able to sell stock back to the company as well.
