I think a stock system would be pretty cool addon for phpVMS. That is the one thing I am missing dearly. I would love to have such a system.

I used to go to airnav and search the airports and find a fuel price from a FBO and go with it.

I think it would be real sweet if we could show hub finance stats as well such as how much money the hub has made and how much was spent on fuel. I am not so sure we will ever be able to do that though. But on another note, thank you all very much for working on this and helping so many of us out with it. I really appreciate it! Hi Scott. Here is my way of adding an image to the forum that says New Post. I nabbed the New Post image from a phpBB2 install. Here you go Scott. Use at your own risk. As I said, we are both using different templates. You should be good to go on my new mail menu though no matter what skin you are using. As far as the you got mail sounds go, look in the check_mail file to change sounds. I included my sounds folder. I can not be held responsible for your use of these files. You know what Tom? Between Simpilot coding this up and you tweaking the hell out of it, I think it might be the single best add on for phpVMS that could easily be part of the deafult install. With that being said, I think the one thing that would push this forum right over the top, categories hierarchy. I know that would be a REAL pain in the ass so I am not holding my breath. Just something I was thinking of. Even without it, this is still a bad ass add on no doubt in my mind. Thank you guys for all your hard work you and Simpilot have done. I know I say that a lot, but you guys do deserve it.

Even though the center tag is now deprecated (not used anymore), that is how I ended up aligning mine. I guess I could have not been so lazy and did it via css. Hell, it might even have been quicker to usee .css file to do it.

Hi Scott, obviously you read this entire thread which is very rare for people to do now days. Normally they ask before reading. So since you read before asking, let me ask you this. What part of my modifications to AirMail are you looking for? The custom menu? The you got mail sounds? Or the flashing mail box thing which if I am not mistaken is part of this anyhow? It's been so long I do not recall. Or are you wanting the entire things that I modded? Please note if I give you the entire thing, you are going to need to adjust things in order to get it to play nice with your template. I can not do that for you as I am sure you understand since I am not using that particular skin. Ray

I have been trying to figure this one out on how to get the first so many characters of the body to appear with a read more link. I did get the read more link to appear and work, I just can not get the body to show. I know how to limit the characters too. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Hi Scott. You are correct. All of his modules do work great without question. My concern is the templating changes I made for it to work on my site. I did not mod them files to work on that particular template. Only for obsess blue. I am in class at the moment. I will check out my files in half an hour or so and get back to you. Ray

If you can code it, anything is possible. I recommend checking out Toms thread in the addons/releases. With permission from Simpilot, Tom has updated and modified this module. But yeah I agree with you, that would be a sweet feature.

This is pretty cool and works like a charm. The only issue I am having is getting a list of pilots from a hub to show up. I have my table built, just not sure how it needs to pull info for the pilots.

Thanks for the reply flyalaska. What I am curious of is do we still need to use this module or can we use regular code now? I know Nabeel put these stats in as default. I thought I had read that Simpilot said this module is deprecated now.

Hi Scott. What template are you using? The files I changed were for Obsessblue. And I have made a few more changes since I posted that file a while back. Let me see if I still have the zip file. If not, I will see if I can get them out of my install and rip all my custom stuff out to make them back to my original changes. Ray

Well, I just went ahead and hid the entire side area except for on the home page and MAN Brilliance is not easy to tweak compared to Obsessblue. I quickly un-hid the side area which sux. Some of my pages are so cramped it is not funny. Good thing it is only a test site.

Hi Tom. On the page get_topic To post or see if you can post in the forum, you have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. I was wanting to move the post new topic and the ban check to the top of the forum right above the Subject Started Posts Last post I have tried and tried and keep getting errors. I think I am not using the else if or something right. Can you point me in the right direction to accomplish this? Many thanks. Ray

I believe some time ago Nabeel integrated this into the default install. Am I correct in saying that? And if so, do we still need this module to get his version to work? I tried the original version but could never get the table or the database to populate the info. I am wanting to add top landings to my site just not sure how to go about it now. Is this module now deprecated?

I agree with Simpilot. I have had that error on phpVMS and phpBB forums numerous times and that is what it always was. A white space before or after a php tag.

You need to upload the images to your hosting package in what ever folder you want, preferably an images folder. Once you do that, go to Admin Center/Pilots & Groups and Add Ranks. When adding your rank, it gives you an option to add your image. Enter the full URL, or path from root to the image. It is not quite as simple as clicking a button asn browsing to the image. You have to type in the path to the image. Follow what Cor and I have said and you will get your ranks showing on site in no time.
