An easy way to do it is to install Automod and make sure the latest version of Umil is installed. Once you upload the mod to the mods folder, automod should install it for you. I prefer to do it by hand, but automod works in a pinch. But yeah, phpbb.com is the best place to look for answers on this subject.

Please pardon me guys as I know this has been brought up before, but my search is revealing nothing. I have some pages that I would like only a specific group to be able to see. How is this possible to do? I want to make it so only my group ATC can view the ATC training materials and such. And obviously due to security and such, Admin should be able to see these pages as well. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance either way. Ray

Reupload your files. Keep the file structure intact. It will work. I have been using airmail since Simpilot released it.

The problem she had was it showed that the flight was available. So she bid on it and then flew the flight. After flying the flight, she went in to file a manual pirep only to find out that she could not because the aircraft was not available for her rank. So in other words, the flight will still show up but if they can't fly that aircraft, they are sh*t out of luck unless they have a nice admin. There was never no 2nd pilot it was only her. And yeah I agree, I want that too. Meaning ranks to fly aircraft, but so far I have tested 3 times since then and have had the same issue. Maybe this is something Simpilot needs to look at in his Module. I do not see this as being a phpVMS issue. ** @ the original thread poster** Now as far as the double and triple bids go, you must go in to the local config file and disable schedule on bid if that is how you want it to be.

Yeah I had loads of issues using airmail with obsessBlue. I completely redid the airmail menu and all. Somewhere in one of the many ObsessBlue threads, is a download of files that can be used if one wishes. I have MAJORLY modded my ObsessBlue template since then though so I am not sure what all edits made. You would need to find my files in that thread to know for sure.

Ahh I just bumped in to the very same issue not even 5 minutes ago. Using Real Schedule, a pilot bid on a flight and flew it, but as soon as she tried to file a pirep, it would not allow her to choose the correct aircraft. I have everything setup the way it should be. The only way I see it until we can come up with a fix, dirty or clean, is to just let them fly what ever they want. No rank required.

That kind of sux a little bit. No other site has anything like it that can be used? It's all good by me. I'm still using that last update that you put back on the server. So far the only live fuel prices I have is with anything NOT in the USA. For some reason, all my fuel prices are coming back as 0. I have been manually updating them as the problem comes up.

That is the pure joy to doing this. You can make it anything you want fancy or not. I would be very careful or steer clear of commercial airlines but it's your choice. My advice is to take some time and think about it for a while and just go with what comes natural to you and feels like a good name. There is no wrong or right answer in my opinion. And last but not least, have fun with it and enjoy it. So many people forget this is only a game and try to turn it into a real job. I think they are just trying to make up for short comings in real life. What ever name and fleet feels good to you, go for it! I can not wait to see it in action. Good luck! Ray

I had the same issue as well and I use that template. Somewhere in that templates thread, I posted some files that work real nice for the airmail with Obsessblue template. It took me quite a long time to get it right. It is still not perfect but it plays alot nicer with the template now done my way. Just do a quick search for that template and toss in TAV1702 as a wildcard.

I still think it would be mighty cool if we could pay the pilots a set amount per flight. Not like 345$ every flight they fly, but an amount for this flight a different amount for another. Set it up in admin where you can choose to pay the pilot by the hour or by the flight. Hourly wages are rough when you have a small airline doing short hops and such. At 1 or 20$ an hour, it would take forever to get enough pilot pay to do anything with if we had it setup so they could do anything with the pay. See what I mean? I think hourly pay for large airlines that make consistent amounts of income can handle to pay a large amount per hour to pilots. Small airlines can not. Not every single flight flown is going to make money, and when they do, it would be nice to be able to compete pay wise with some of the big guys. I got some more to add to it all but you get the idea of my idea I'm sure. I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin. It would be sweet.

Hey Simpilot, was the issue with the pilot getting their money back after paying for tests ever resolved? I had an issue when pilots would buy a test, they would get the cash back when the cron job got ran or anything in admin was recalculated. Just curious. Was thinking about reinstalling this again. Without that fix, it makes it kind of rough. I used a code snippet to make it so we can adjust pilots pay without it getting given back to them after recalc. I wonder if we could sneak that code in for this if that problem still exists.

Nabeel, you are correct. That is a bug that needs fixed. I tried to run the update.sql by hand in pph my admin but kept getting duplicate collum name errors. After weeding through it all and getting what worked and what did not, the comments finally worked in the admin section for pilot details. Now that being said, I tried this on my local WAMP server and when I did a check install, i got LOADS of errors. So any info obtained from my local server I am not taking for anything reliable. BUT the initial problem did occur as well on a host server.

Nabeel to be honest, I already ditched the code in the tpl to get things up to speed with me and my whole other 5 pilots. I do however, have a test install on a WAMP server. It is the latest stable. I will go upgrade it to this beta version and try it out and see if I can duplicate the problem. If so, I will run them querys and see what happens. Give me about 30 minutes or so and I will have some results for you.

I didnt delete them from the database since he was going to add them airports anyhow. The schedules were not automatic added, it simply added the two airports to my database. He was using fs passengers.

Hey CPC900 what template are you using? Is it your own or a premade? I am using Obsess Blue and having a hell of a time trying to get it right. I have got it to work a couple of times like I said before and all I am accomplishing is making things look real bad.

You know, I do not want to hijack a thread here, but I have the same issue and I was holding my tongue and not saying anything. I do NOT believe this is related to the real schedule module. I had a pilot the other day that has admin access, tell me that he went to add a couple of airports in the airports list and they were all ready there. I knew for a fact that I never added them. He did a free flight and filed a pirep for them 2 airports prior to going in admin to add the airports. Strange I know, but it is what it is. So yeah like I said, I do not think it has a thing to do with the module. I am not ready to call it a bug yet until it happens again and I can confirm it with my own eyes.
