Dropping FSACARS Support

I've made the decision that as of 2.1, FSACARS won't be supported anymore. The connector and code will still be there and working, but there are just too many issues to continue wasting time on kludging it to work. The client has not been in development for years. However, there is a free alternative - kACARS. It's an excellent ACARS app, very stable, and in active development. phpVMS 2.1 will include the ACARS connector piece, so all you have to download is the client. I didn't even realize it was that old, but clearly you have to draw the line somewhere. FSAcars doesn't even report headings etc, and cuts off half the log in transit. :/

Has anyone tried paid kAcars, what is it like?

With the paid kACARS I believe you get a few extra features, such as pilot chat, a web browser, de-branding and more detailed flight logging. Perfect if that's what your after

Lots more logging output for a start, for an example jump on my site and look at a filed pirep

I have kACARS custom and I love it. The support is great and very fast.

I also have Kacars custom and my pilots love it. I does make them fly real time(no acceleration) which is good for us. Give it a try the free version is also great.

As we are an Airlift Command we fly both Cargo and Passengers. It get the info directly from the Schedules you Make. So the answer is Yes to both. It is simple to set up and easy use so give it a try.
