Hello guys, Me and my friend been working on flymapleair.com . The domain and website was put online yesterday but there is still alot to be done . Due date to finish is late November. The airline is based in Maple , Ontario , Canada. We have 1 Type of aircraft A319-100 and its only Canadian flights till the airline grows and we will purhase more aircrafts to fly to US and Europe. I am currently trying to help somebody start a VA up, about a month ago I offered to start the site for him and help create a skin, but I have been busy the last 2-3 weeks and I am now up to my knees with things to do. I wonder if somebody could make it on behalf of him, aparently he has lost his account details for this forum though. Any help greatly appreciated. Sorry about this though.

Hi Guys, I'm hoping one of you can help me with the following; At the moment I have a skin that is only 1 page with 1 <div> I think. I would like to make a Left Column and a Right column for putting in modules and stuff. I have tried a few different things but keep messing up my skin. If I knew how, where exactly do I put these <div>'s ? Do I place them in the header.tpl ? or in the frontpage_mail.tpl ? Any advice would be most appreciated. Adam

Good day folks, in search for briefing for europe, I came across this page: http://www.flyingineurope.be/aviation_weather_maps.htm + Rain&Iceing page. Weather info posted as gif/png mostly, and could be used if youre airline flies in europe. I think the links are relativly stable aswell.(filenames etc) I tried it on the page im working on and it seems good.(now I have to learn how to resize external images using php...) Now for the airport maps issue. Im going to try making some snapshots of different aiport diagrams and linking them to aip of the specific airport. Though I guess it will have to be in a database or something because they are not centralized on one…

You know is amazing how people want to create virtual airlines and such a few portion actually sucessed. You guys have to know that making a va is like making a real airline just virtually, save money if you know your not up for the challenge, is best give that hosting money to charity or donate it to your local hospital! do something rather useful with it! Hi i am currently in the process of making a brand new website for my VA, and i was wandering if there is any way that i can make it/design it in dreamweaver and then add all the scripts like login, pireps into a specially made page for that specific job. I want to make every individual page then add all the scripts and link them too the phpvms. I hope i will be able to do this, thanks James

hey my phpvms site needs a little more coding done on it, in the nav bar you can only see the links when your mouse is over it i need that fixed so the links are always showing, anyone help?

I have now relaunched my PIREP system and Golden Airway's is now flying again. If you notice any issues please let me know, but I think its clean and tidy. I have noticed that the text goes past the sidebar and stuff but I am going to sort that out and the menu names are close together, appart from that I like the design. Thanks. I tried adding Google Translate by adding the following script to footer.tpl. <script src="http://www.gmodules.com/ig/ifr?url=http://www.google.com/ig/modules/translatemypage.xml&up_source_language=en&w=160&h=60&title=&border=&output=js"></script> It works except for the complaint that the Google Map key is invalid (since the translated page is displayed on Google's site). I can live with that, but don't like the idea of its removing the viewer from my site. I tried to get the translated page to display in a newwindow by using target="_blank", but that doesn't work. I am currently skinning my phpVMS. On the sidebar instead of having the latest pilot and flights just on the home page, I want them on every page so I have put them in the sidebar however when I put this code in: <h2>Our Latest Recruit</h2> <p> <?php MainController::Run('Pilots', 'RecentFrontPage', 1); </p> and on the page it says The "</p>" is on line 36. I might be just not thinking right, because its 01:08 in the morning here lol however I am pretty sure it should work. If you could help then it'd be great. I am having some problems with images showing up in my skin. All of the images that phpvms uses/displays all show up fine. But, images related to the skin, such as the header image and html link images I have been trying to put in, do not. In Firefox they simply don't show up. Where the html image links should be, all that shows up is a little box. In IE it shows the little box in the upper left corner with the red x. I decided not to reskin, but rather integrate into a larger website. I did this by placing phpVMS inside an IFRAME and editing the images to match the rest of the site. Since I have a widescreen monitor, squeezing everything into the center third of the screen made no sense to me. for the moment I'm still left with too much space on either side, but will figure out how to place useful data or verbiage there, instead of uncused space. Since the main site is framed and the menu is in the top banner, but targets the main frame on the bottom I wind up with a lot of flexibility.
