How hard do you work your virtual fleet of aircraft? Do you keep turnaround times to a minimum? Do you keep aircraft flying until the airport closes? Do you schedule time for regular maintenance? Thank you.

Laker Airways Virtual, based on the pioneering Sir Freddie Laker's airline of 70's, is now open for new pilots. Hi all, So, I was wondering how everyone prices their passenger flights (ticket price) and fuel. I did a flight from East Midlands Airport to Ibiza and the fuel cost way out priced a full aircraft of passengers paying £320 per ticket, this seems a bit rediculous. So there must be a better calculation for it? I am using "0" for auto fuel prices. How do you guys do it to make it "virtually profitable"

Well, I've been using FSX for a long while, and after a bit of a hiatus due to collegiate obligations I'm considering starting up a VA project. The basic idea I have is a low-cost carrier based in California, preferably an airport in the Los Angeles area. Right now it's between LAX and Ontario Int'l as a base. The airline would start off operating city-hopper services within California, with maybe a few services to areas in Nevada or Arizona. I'm thinking that it might start off with a fleet of Embraer jetliners, most likely EMB-170s but maybe 190s. As with anyone who has used a flight sim for any length of time I want to start a VA. Well, I want to desin one, for personal use to begin with. Being in the process of moving house and starting a new job Im not sure how much free time I will have, but if I have the time I would like to launch it before the end of 2015. A resolution of sorts. Hello all! Man, have we gotten so many suggestions and words of advice on our liveries! We have been working hard for the past couple months to bring you this: Soar Virtual Airlines new livery: We have gotten rid of the ugly black and orange site colors and liveries and have a completely new look! Half of the aircraft (16 aircraft types in total) have had their repaints done and all of them will be on our site within a couple of days.
