SkyBlue , Has now opened its doors to the public. SkyBlue CEO Sean Wheelington has announced that flight operations will begin out of the New York Kennedy Airport until a final decision is made for a permanent hub. SkyBlue has a fleet of McDonnell/Douglas MD-88s and Boeing 757-200s that will take our guest abroad. SkyBlue does fly international routes and more aircraft will be added once the company decides on either a variant off the 777 or the A330 , With that said the MD-88 fleet is aging and were purchased at a bargain and will be phased out wit a comparable aircraft in the future. The plan of SkyBlue is growth, realism and fun and remember "Its Nice Up There. We are …

Hey everyone, I would like to invite everyone to join me when British Atlantic Virtual Airline Re-Launches July 1st. British Atlantic is a professional virtual airline operating from London Heathrow to a range of world wide destinations. We operate a mainly Airbus based fleet, however still operate some of our legacy Boeing fleet (which is due to be replaced soon). British Atlantic has been open since May 2009, however recently it was decided to completely overhaul the airline with a new website and better marketing to attract more members. Will publish more info soon as we get closer to launch. We are a proud Global One Member http://globalonealliance.com.

Evening all... So I'm just after some ideas about my VA i'm working on. It's called FlightSim Group and the plan with this is to work with different VA and maybe share Schedules, pilots etc... and try to grow to something special. I'm still messing out with this and would love to see this baby get off the ground. I'm just putting it out there to be honest and any ideas people may have would be more than welcome. Also if you would like to help with this then drop me a line! Kind Regards Scott

The Sun has risen in the north, and the warm weather is melting the ice and snow in Northern Canada. This warm weather has also melted the ice roads leading to the mines of Northern Canada. This means no more trucks and until next November, so until then, everything has to come and go by air. This month we are packing up the Canadian Xpress® Boeing 737-200F which is available to all pilots regardless of rank, but only for this challenge and heading north out of Edmonton (CYEG) for the gold mine at Lupin (CYWO). Once fully unloaded, you’ll jump over to Yellowknife (CYZF). There are no fuel facilities at Lupin, so you will need to plan your fuel wisely. You need to fly…

Hello there, I am just about to start a european low-cost virtual airline that I've been working on with my friend who painted the fleet for about a month or two. However, our sponsor has turned out, claiming that he's simply not interested anymore. So we're a flying double now. My question is mainly how to attract people onto management opportunities such as PMDG instructors, marketing or HR directors. And is there any possibility of finding solid crew before the airline opens up? The trouble is, we want to make the best impression out there, and as we know, first impressions last, so quite frankly, we're not ready to open up yet. Besides, we don't know anyone from our …

My webmaster brought to my attention a very hurtful link this evening. Unfortunately, my webmasters hard work has been stolen and is currently trying to be used on another website. I will not release that website at this time as I am awaiting a response from the airlines CEO about this matter. It hurts to know that someone else's great and hard work can be just taken like this, in an attempt at making their website look as good. I am calling upon the VA community to put a stop to this, and stand up against this fraud. It's sad that the same person who has been found of stealing websites in the past, has Done this again and thought he could get away with it. Please kee…

Opening Day is the day on which professional baseball leagues begin their regular season. For Major League Baseball and most of the minor leagues, this day falls during the first week of April. For baseball fans, Opening Day serves as a symbol of rebirth; writer Thomas Boswell once penned a book titled, Why Time Begins on Opening Day. Many feel that the occasion represents newness or a chance to forget last season in that the 30 major league clubs and their millions of fans begin with 0-0 records. Canadian Xpress would like to invite all pilots to join us on Saturday, April 14th, 2012 at 20h00edt (24h00z) for our April 2012 Fly-In where we will visit some famous cities r…

Sorry if this has been asked previously. Is there a Virtual British Airways that uses phpVMS? I search google and I can really only find 3 virtual British Airways. 1 uses simmiles which I'm not sure about, the other 2 do not use phpvms AND are full. 1 of them requires a credit card to even apply, when they are accepting applications. The other is accepting applications but has 180+ applications in for 21 openings. Are there any others out there that want pilots? Don't require a credit card, and you have a realistic shot at flying for? Thanks.

We have been using Createaforum for our VA's forum. It was what we started with back when the VA was first started. Today I'd like to switch to a forum that has features we are looking for, like only allowing members of our VA, etc. What forum would you recommend? Does phpVMS have a forum available to each VA?
