I have an option at my VA to fly on-demand charters. To do this, I understand the airports must be on our list and the aircraft type listed as well. When I select "charter flights" it wants an aircraft registration (among other things). However, I cannot enter a registration in this block. In fact, it almost seems as though kACARS is locked up somehow. Any ideas?

Hello there, I am facing an issue with kACARS which kinda puzzles me. Basically, what has happened is I had to move hosts, due to an unfortunate free hosting suspension. It was a test account anyway for site development, and now we're looking to open the airline soon, so we moved to a new host, I only carried the templates over, but I get this mysterious warning upon connection through kACARS to the new server. I can't really copy it, since I don't know a way out of a window, nevertheless, it talks about code from x10's suspension page. Any ideas why as I'm puzzled? The path in the local.config.php is set to a new site (www.flyglobespanva.xaa.pl), an entire new database…

I have installed kAcars v1.0.1.1 in my W7 but when i click in the .exe, it simple dont work. Nothing occour... I allready unistalled and reinstalled but dont work. I installed the v1.0.1.0 and dont start too. Some one knows what can be this issue? Thanks! Hudson

New Version Released Another Site Setting added - Allow Charter (with this set to '0' your pilots will not be able to fly charter flights nor will they be able to change the aircraft) A few more error catching filters. YOU MUST UPGRADE THE MODULE ALSO!!!! Please test and report and problems right here. Thanks

This has probably been asked before, but kACARS reports fuel in pounds to phpvms, then it gets recorded as kilograms. When doing manual pireps, pilots need to convert lbs to kgs. I was just wondering if there is a way to get phpvms to record fuel in lbs instead of kilograms.

Hi, I am trying to set up a new VA using phpVMS and kACARS_Free v1.0.1.1 and Module v1.0.1.1. When I try to Log In from the kACARS_Free I get the typical "Notify System Administrator of the Switch error. Data not recieved. Switch = Verify" I have researched the forum for similar problems and I have tried all the suggestions. Unfortunately I have not been able to resolve this issue so far. I will appreciate your help. For some reason i am able to run xacars, but kAcars_free does not work, and i am following instructions. Got it configured right, running as administrator. And when i try to login it gives me an error msg. kAcars_Free can not continue! Contact your administrator to fix this issue! I have googled and found nothing and i cant find any previous post here either. Os: Win7 64 bit Latest phpvms version. Any one have a easy fix for this? Thanks in advanced! -- Topgun

Ciao to all, my problem is that the kACARS_Free correctly connect, load bid and send pirep to the VA site (Pirep filed) but nothing is registered in the MySql DB, except the date and time of the pirep submission in the pilot record. The Live Map show nothing... Thanks for support Gianni

Hi i have installed phpvms not on a free host but in a vps server with centos 5 x86_64bit http://5.231.49.79/ i have php 5.3 installed but kacars is not connecting it shows connection error i have installed php-xml , php-xmlrpc and some other modules but its not working can someone help me?

Getting the following message on the Get Flight Number info block. This problem appeared suddenly last evening for no apparent reason "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt tp continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Input string was not in a correct format Details (Included in the .zip attachment JIT Debugging is not active - have no idea how to do that. exception.zip

Fatal error: Class 'CodonModule' not found in home2/ /public_html/flight/phpvms/core/modules/kACARS_Free/kACARS_Free.php on line 22 There has to be a fix for this but I simply cannot find it. I've mastered Java but that doesn't help me here despite the fact that PHP looks like a child of Java and C++.. Anyway, all help would be appreciated.

hey Jeff i have a wierd error atm when bidding on a flight kacars cant find it annymore so when a pilot make a bid opens kacars and then select get flight number info it returns no flights found. also the setting is not search by flight so it schould find the bidded flight gr joeri

We are using Custom kAcars, but I have a general situation about charters. I haven't had much luck with replies on the general support forum. The problem we are having is that all charter flights have zero gross/revenue! I checked the pireps table in the database and it shows the flighttype as 'P' which means passenger flights, not charter ('H'?) My question, are charter flights supposed to have flight type 'H' in database or is 'P' normal? 1) Can someone please check their VA pirep table and see if the charter flights are having their flighttype set to "H" and not "P"? 2) and In general, does PHPVMS handle charter flights "out of the box" in terms of calculating the…

Hello Apologies if this has been asked before , what would be the right way to allow pilots to fly Routes/Destinations which are not in the Schedule . So Far with FSAcars we would just put in any city pair and the Pilot ID as the Flight Number , on ending the flight the log would be accepted . where the City pairs or ICAO City was missing in the DB , most would get added auto or via a manual entry before the pirep manager accepted the Pirep . Would Like very much to have the option to fly off sked routes if at all possible with KAcars , thanks in advance

I had this idea long ago but forgot about it. , the talk of kacars made me think of it again. How difficult would it be to design and option where Admin's could send messages to pilots during flight (threw Kacars of course)? This is good for bush operations as it would be a cool way to dispatch flights. What do you think?

Hello kacars was stirring in the fall and noticed a problem when the charter flight is put everything runs normally until the aircraft for the flight is that we do not have a choice if the flight is pax ok but if not the position to place the burden for is the only option pax would fit it my congratulations I wanted to have their intelligence

I don't mean to question your skills at all, Jeff, but can you explain why kACARS_Free has to be run as Administrator on Vista or Windows 7? As a Linux user, I have been taught to avoid running programs as root like the plaque. Isn't this a security hole, running as admin, or am I mistaken?

I have installed and set up kAcars according to SpiritAir's VA instructions ann i keep getting the following error message "Notify System Administrator of Switch Error Data Not Received Switch=verify" I have emailed the CEO of the VA numerous times and not getting any help so I cam on here hoping someone can help me get it to work.
