I am having a problem with xacars, it is giving me an error saying that the url for the flight tracking is giving an error. This happened recently and suddenly, I am not sure what is going on, I have cleaned the cache, and resent the acars table, but that did not help. I have set everything up correctly. I do have 2 other xacars configs in the same location, but they are not named the same, I have named the xacars config file that is in use just xacars as that is what it was before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

YOu need to go the route of the site in an ftp program, and set the permissions that way.

DId you upload the events module to the core>modules folder?

What I take from your post tav1702, is when you post an event it posts a news item. It already does that. 1.3 does anyway. Maybe the older version didn't. But when you create an event there is a check box that says post to news, and it will make a post in the news for you.

I think someone came up with a solution to your request, have a look in the addons forum and see what you come up with.

I am flying at the moment, and using xacars, it is showing on my VA web site, but not on vacentral. I have not changed anything in xacars.[solved]

What days are the flights scheduled to fly? As phpvms filters out flights the are not flown on certain days. Make sure if you want the flights to be flown any day of the week, you choose all the days of the week.

Make sure everything in the config files for the acars programs are correct.

You have a problem with your roster. The scrolling works but the pilots list doesn't. Also the first two names are unreadable.

run the checkdb.php and post the results. If that doesn't work contact your host or try and empty the acars table and see if that works.

YOu shouldn't have to, when you upload it will only overwrite files that are the same, if the folder is named differently then all files within the folder will remain the same.

When you upload the files do you get any error? Alternatively you could re download the file and reupload to see if that works.

Yes all you need to do is run the install/install.php and it will run you through the setup process.

Are you on freehosting? PHPVMS isn't great on freehosts as they often have things turned off, or not configured right.

I usually just upload the whole folder and run the update, and it works fine.

What you have posted, it looks distinctly like some guy who is spamming your site, get his IP and block it.

Instead of doing what flightguy said, you can just go into the maintanence part and clear the cache from within phpvms. No need to log into your ftp and manually delete the cache.

As has been stated before in the thread, it most likely is a host problem. Check with your host and maybe you can figure out the cause.
