So a competitor has came out with a system much like phpVMS in it's own kind of new way. They claim they are superior to phpVMS because phpVMS is all full of bugs. Here is my take on it. 1. I love their software has a bootstrap template. 2. They have some awesome features that are integrated in or being worked on that others here are charging for. 3. It is actively being developed. Their cons: 1. No one is developing templates for it or modules. 2. It has a few bugs it self. Not even going to lie. 3. Their support forum is .... Well, meh. Great if you speak Spanish. If you are speaking fluent English, forget about it. 4. Typos galore! As far as it being superior to phpVMS, Mmmmmmm not so sure. It has MAJOR potential. As far as my opinion goes, phpVMS has an edge on the system in question. 1. phpVMS has many modules (payware as well) and templates. 2. phpVMS is tried and true and awesome sites built on it exist. 3. the community is much better over here in general all the way round. Cons: 1. Active development. Are we at the end of the road? Seriously. Are we? 2. Bugs still need fixed. 3. Now days everything is responsive. It badly needs to be bootstrap. So I guess it is to each their own. I am not so sure of their claim to superiority, but man are they coming on fast. I have a website running each version of software. I'm not going to bias any opinions and say which one I like better. Anyhow, got to run for now. Take care folks and keep the blue side up!

I did log in and give it a try. Nice job. I like it.

Yes sir you are correct. I once built a forum system from scratch just to do it for a stupid website I was working on and it was a LOAD of work. The price is fair to say the least. Just wish I could afford it, It is out of my reach at this time.
-
Did you buy this and if so does it work really well? I cant afford it but I work with another va that is interested. I hate to recommend it blindly.

7 days later and nothing? No nice job, thanks, it works or nothing? I am quite shocked. Was looking for feedback info. By the looks of things, it looks great! $56 US Dollars is way to much for me though.

And while I'm at it, I took and converted this template to php and it worked out decently with a few fixes here and there. Is it safe to say that I should just quit working on the original and upgrade to Ocean Blue 2?
-
Nah Im not hacked bud. That link you clicked was the credits link to Blue Dog Designs that designed the template. I was showing where the link went to is all. Thanks for looking out though man!
-
Ah ha! i can do that. I am glad I came and asked now. Thanks man!
-
Hello. I got a serious question here. In the footer I always leave credits in tact. However, the Blue Dog Designs link if clicked goes to some chinese page and I am not real comfortable with that. Is it possible for me to remove that at all? Who is blue dog and where did they go? Are they Chinese now? And please understand i come here and ask in honesty rather than try to hide it and simply delete a kudos link. I just am not comfortable with people being able to click a link on my site that goes to some foreign place that I can not verify the content. I have no clue if this site is riddled with illegal activity or what. I thank you for your time. And I know I should switch over to ocean blue 2 but have not had the time to do so. I am just now seriously getting back in to work on my site. http://www.bluedogdesigns.net/

So its safe to say that the download link in the first post is now accurate of a few fixes? I do have the original module that was released and have been itching to get it updated and working right. One thing, in the admin center, it has a area for Pilot ID.... What? And obviously the hub manager is self explanatory. Is that feature fixed now as well and the airport image? Thanks for the module either way.
-
yeah thats what I meant. I looked on the pics and the Ocean Blue text was right there on the images.
-
Yeah thats where I been looking. Maybe I need to hang it up for tonight and try some more tomorrow. **EDIT** The lost has been found. Sorry man. I never thought of looking at the psd's for the slider.
-
I must be a royal moron now a days lol but for the life of me I can not find where it says Ocean blue over the top of the slider. Where is that coming from?
-
Sorry man I just found the modules in the download of the skin. I wonder how I missed those. Not enough coffee yet?
-
It should not shrink no matter what. I have been fiddling with it all day and ahve not figured out the trick to stop it from doing that yet. I have still yet to fix the footer either.
-
Quick question. Is there any way you can link me to the correct awards and ranks modules? I have some but not sure they are correct. And I do have the airmail but is is v 4.0 not airmail 3. Questions, concerns or answers? Thanks bud. Ray

That is why I am afraid to upgrade to windows 10. I feel as though it is going to be the death of online gaming. And back on topic now, I await a reply on this. I am curious to answer as well. I am sure I am going to get bombarded with support for this rather quickly.
-
The filing of a pirep will fix it for sure. I can verify that first hand. As far as the footer goes, that was not fixed. I know it is as simple as a missing closing div some where but I have yet to find it. Not enough coffee ;-)
-
Well now I am getting somewhere! I was marked as retired and it was how it was according to the screen shots. Once I filed a pirep and became active again, all the issues went away EXCEPT the broken footer in the public profile as depicted in the screenshot titled oops 3.
-
Ok so I made a mistake. The shot on the left titled oops is the demo site. the other 2 shots are my site. I can not verify the error on the pilot dashboard on the demo site obviously. Please keep in mind these files are out of the box. I have made 0 (zero) changes to any files.
-
Nice skin. I have it working great except 2 things that I can't believe have not been pointed out yet. One error appears on the demo site and one appears on mine. I cant verify the other on demo site because I am not a member. Take a look at my pilot dashboard. Notice the top boxes are WAY smaller than they should be? Then take a look at my other 2 pics of the demo site I believe it is. You can see the footer is broke out of the template and once again, the top boxes are smaller than they should be. Other than that, so far this template has been flawless for me. Thanks for taking a look.

Thank you!

Did you have to fix the issue module by module or where you able to fix it via error reporting in a ini file or something? I get the error strict standards in the events module, pop up news module and on the schedules list page

Thanks Dave I'll give that a try and see if it helps.
