Starfly Alliance, Events and a Magazine. JAL Virtual has founded the Starfly Alliance with Air Argentina, with this alliance we will be able to effectively codeshare and coordinate events better. Here is the full announcement & joint statement by both airlines. At the time of this post Malaysia Virtual Airlines have joined the Alliance. ----------------------- With the advance of the technologies and communities called " Virtual Airlines " that every day seek to be alike more the reality; Air Argentina, one of the biggest virtual airlines of Argentina, and Virtual JAL, the biggest virtual airline of Japan, they announce their commitment in joining for the creation of the new alliance of virtual airlines: Starfly Alliance. By means of this alliance both airlines seek to create a community which could join airlines all over the world to be able to achieve an exchange of ideas, schedules and other resources, as being able to organize events. Others of the goals of the alliance it is going to be to select to the best airlines both in its operational quality (fleet and pilots) and in its quantity of monthly operations. Nowadays the executives of both airlines are working in laying the foundations of this new alliance to be able to begin with its functioning and with the incorporation of new members. Magazine JAL VIRTUAL has released there Summer magazine to its pilots about two weeks ago, now its releasing it to the public. This magazine focuses on the retirment of JAL's 747-400'S from service in Spring 2011. Enjoy Magazine Events Join JAL Virtual on the weekend of August 26th, 27th and 28th for the biggest event in VATASIA airspace. This event titled Eastern Wind 2011, is a VATSIM 10th Anniversary event its going to be huge. I have setup a event page and you can sign up here the event is in 13 legs and the schedules start at JAL0000-0012 and will be marked “eventâ€. All pilots who complete the event will get 25 hours bonus added. ------------------ Full event Information. VATASIA's largest annual event, Eastern Wind, has made its way back. Eastern Wind 2011 will span the August 26th weekend, kicking off on Friday (Aug 26) evening and winding down on Sunday (Aug 28) night. This year we will feature an extended route that connects a series of main aviation hubs in the VATASIA airspace, not to mention a comprehensive coverage of excellent ATC service at each airport. Since 2011 marks the 10th anniversary of VATSIM and VATASIA, to celebrate this special occasion, this year's EW will feature a contest whose winners will receive prizes from our generous sponsors. Details and rules for the contest will be published on VATASIA website and VATSIM forum at a later time. Was there a phpvms update released that includes the new KAcars config files with .xml for Pilots? Sorry I have been quite busy and failed to notice.

Ok when I go to make a New VA profile and when I press the Save button after I filled out my information it the information disappears on me.

Now my pilot are getting this error on KAcars 1.08 & 1.09

Hey Many of my pilots are having this error come with KACARS just after starting their flight, it has to do with my site and etc becuase this pilot could connect to other VA's fine. Thanks

JAL VIRTUAL: Earthquakes, Livery Contest, Website Adjustments, Equipment & Schedule Notices Japan Airlines Virtual has experienced a lot through the last couple of months, as is our real life counterpart. Today in Tokyo JAL Virtual has, had a press conference regard a number of issues and questions and answers. Our press conference has been delayed because of the earthquake in the Tohoku region. ======== Following is a Transcript of the Press Conference First off everyone at JAL Virtual sends their best hopes and wishes to all the people affected in the Tohoku earthquake and Tsunami, we will be coordinating a special event with VATSIM Japan, soon to help out the regions affected with supplies and whatever else shall be needed. Event notice will be posted soon. As you may have been our real life counterpart will be doing a companywide rebranding, which reintroduces the original Tsurumaru livery from the 1950’s. Now we have read various forums on the internet like airliners.net and saw the reaction as rather negative, don’t get me wrong it’s a nice livery but we want to try something different. I and the board members talked about it, and we decided that a contest for a livery redesign should follow. If you are an aircraft repainter or good at image editing, then please submit your proposals for a new JAL Virtual Livery to admin@jalvirtual.org. You will have credit for your livery and a payment. Entries will be chosen by our pilots and staff. Deadline is April 22nd In the meantime leading up to April 1st our website will be adjusted to meet the branding change, new features will be introduced as well, and in our site right now are Automatic Fuel Calculation, redesigned Schedule interface, a new forum and media site will be coming soon. In light of the recent retirements of the A300-600R and Boeing 747-400, from real world JAL, JAL Virtual has decided against retiring these aircraft, as these aircraft play a vital role in our day-to-day operations at JAL Virtual. However we do recognize the vital role these aircraft were to the JAL Group especially the 747, they shall be missed. Tokyo area Schedules, will be expanded in light of the new Haneda RJTT expansion for international traffic from April 25, 2011, an updated schedule book will be made for RJTT featuring new international flights from Haneda.
